More than just a lagoon - First of all, the lagoon itself was pretty interesting. You have to go out at night to what seems like the middle of a bay, in order to see the glowing microorganisms. The more you move, the more glowing you'll see. Even if you can't swim, they have life jackets available for you. The second part of the tour includes a very talented limbo dancer and fire show. You can also get good drinks at full bar, jerk chicken on the grill, or souvenirs.

Luminous Pond Glows at night - It was a great excursion to see the blue water that you cant see in other parts of the world. However I was slightly injured by a cut in the water on my leg. Not sure if it was coral or a fish who got me, but I loved it other wise. Thanks......

Not what I expected - Not what I expected. It was fun but the lagoon didn’t light up as much and the tour is only for 20mins . No refreshments. Just a small cup of rum punch . They did have food to purchase which was pretty good . Excellent fire show. Was amazing to watch .

Jamaicans are Laughing all the way to the Bank! - Long Story Short - Don't Waste your Money! We did this excursion our last night in Jamaica. Pickup at RIU Palace Hotel in Negril at 3:30, Return to Hotel 10:30. Took over two hours (Rush Hour traffic. Several Security Checkpoints) Plus a 15 minute stop to use the bathroom at {Surprise!} a souvenir shop. When we arrived it was almost dark: 6:15pm. We got our numbers. Purchased beverages - Alcohol and Non Alcohol. Free Beverage = Rum Fruit Punch. 6:45 - Boats were loaded by groups. Once we were out in the area where the organisms can best be seen. We could enter the water. It is shallow but the bottom was pure MUCK. I put my feet down once and not again until I was back on the boat. The water was brown and stirred up reminding our group of the scene in the new Vacation Movie: The Griswalds bathing in the Sewage lagoon. You are supposed to wave your hands or move your body to get the organisms to glow but we could only see them faintly when waving our hands fast just below the surface. Once the 30 minutes are up, the boat goes back to shore. Nice bathroom facilities and outdoor fresh water showers where you can rinse the biohazardous material off. Food could be purchased although I did not see anyone order or eat. The show was a short distraction that kept people busy until the rest of their group was changed out of their suits and ready to get back on the bus. This is the epitome of a tourist trap. I would not recommend. Save your money unless you want a lot of material for a great story. And possibly, some weird germs. I do have to say my hair has been extra shiny and bouncy since we were there.
