We’ll start off from Brasov and head off to explore Rupea Fortress, a medieval monument which has weathered the tides of time, standing as a symbol of resistance against the Ottoman expansion into Central Europe. Following this, we’ll make a stop at Viscri, where we’ll explore the fortified church – a UNESCO Heritage site, and meet the local village blacksmith. Thereafter, we will indulge in a traditional meal prepared by the villagers.
Next, we’ll leave for Sighisoara for a 1h30min walking tour around the historic heart of the city. Our tour will take us to the Clock Tower, an iconic landmark, followed by a visit to The Vlad Dracul House, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler and his father’s residence. The Weapons Collection and the Torture Room, the place where prisoners were punished during the Middle Ages, are also within our sightseeing itinerary and located at the base of the Clock Tower.
Finally, we’ll ascend the covered wooden Scholars’ Stairs to reach the Hill Church.
Wrapping up the tour, you’ll get some spare time to shop for souvenirs in Sighisoara.
