Into the Heart of Akagera

As the sun began its ascent over the Rwandan horizon, I found myself at the entrance of Akagera National Park, a place that had long been on my bucket list. Gliding across the water, we were treated to the sight of hippos basking in the sun, their eyes barely visible above the waterline.
