Fansipan is the tallest mountain in the Indochina Peninsula, standing at an elevation of 3,143 meters. This challenging day trek is best suited for experienced hikers. The journey covers 12 km one way, with an elevation gain of approximately 1,400 meters, taking a total of 10-12 hours to complete.

Start the day with an early breakfast on your own, then travel by car or scooter (if solo) to Tram Ton Pass at 6:00 am. The pass is situated 2,000 meters above sea level and serves as the starting point for the trek. The route takes you through bamboo groves, ancient forests adorned with colorful flowers, and alongside picturesque streams. Enjoy lunch en route at a campsite located at 2,800 meters. Expect to reach the summit around 12:00 or 1:00 pm, where breathtaking views of Sapa town and the Vietnam-China mountain range await, perfect for capturing unique photographs.

You have the option to take a cable car back to Sapa around 2:00 or 3:00 pm (cable car tickets are self-funded) or retrace your steps back to Tram Ton Pass to catch a ride back to Sapa town, arriving between 5:00 and 7:00 pm, depending on your pace.
