NEED TO DO THIS - My family did the Simply Hmong Experience and it was one of the best parts of our trip in Vietnam. The team at Ethos is exceptionally welcoming and informative, giving us a lot of background knowledge and the chance to talk with a local Hmong teen, Cha, before heading out on our trek. It was just my family of four and our local Hmong guide Ker so we were able to go at our own pace, decide how much trekking we wanted to do, and chat and ask questions the entire time. The Hmong couple who hosted us for lunch were very welcoming and Ker helped us speak with them by translating. We got to help prepare the meal, watch them cook over an open fire, and eat food that accommodated our dietary restrictions (vegetarian and gluten free) perfectly! Ker and the whole Ethos team were so kind and open to answering our questions. They even gave us recommendations on a great restaurant and potential experiences for our next day. We learned so much and left knowing we had made the perfect choice for an experience in Sapa.

Great 2 day one night hike around Sapa - Had a 2 days one night trek to a Red Dao village. We went walking with a local guide through the rice and corn fields, far from the busy treks around Sa Pa. We stayed in a local home stay and got to do a nice herbal bath. They were very flexible on the trail distance, what could be done on the second day etc. A very good experience, that I recommend, for the local guide and also the tour organisers and all they do to make us discover and understand the area better!

Must-do activity in Sapa! - My husband and I joined the Simply Hmong experience and it was truly amazing! Right before we went on the trek with a Hmong guide, we were comfortably seated at the Ethos house to have a chit chat session with a local Hmong teen, Cha. It was amazing hearing stories about their history culture in Sapa and it was really educational. Mi was our guide and she was really nice and open in sharing her stories and life. She also made sure to take care of us on the trek since we weren’t too experienced trekking through muddy rice fields with lots of steep slope!

Highly recommended! - Unforgetable experience! We spent two wonderful days accompanied by our guide, Malila and her family. Thanks to Ethos we were able to discover how the Dao live and taste their delicious cuisine. We got to know the real Sapa region. Amazing landscapes and very welcoming people. If you like nature and want to escape the usual tourism, don't think about it. Thank you ❤️

The one thing you should do in Sa Pa - The people and guides at ETHOS are some of the kindest and most incredible people I’ve met. They really want to make your experience perfect to your needs and wants, and will go out of their way to make it special. Really recommend the 2 day, 1 night trip as you get a really authentic experience! They are here to show you the culture and lives of ethnic minorities and makes you feel very welcome. They also helped me get a good bus when I was leaving and made sure I had the best time. I would definitely come back and do their tours again! Unforgettable experience and something you should book.

Best experience we’ve done in Vietnam - Best experience we ever made! We booked for a trek of 2 days and one night. We arrived at the Ethos host house in Sapa, talked to the girls who were here of the local culture and economy. Then we took a taxi to go at the begining of the trek. We walked during all morning in rice fields, it was totally incredible! We ate at our guide house and met all her family. The meal was delicious! Then we walked the afternoon to go to our guide’s parents house, we ate and slept there. The day after, we took the breakfast and walked again to ker’s (our guide) sister house. We lunch all together before going back to sapa in taxi. It was trully incredible, Ker, our guide, and her family were so nice and welcoming! I never thought I could be that close of the local culture… an unfergottable experience, I would recomended it 100% for sure! Thank you again to everyone🫶

The trek of a lifetime - One of the best experiences I have had, we had booked for 2 days of trek with a night at a homestay. Welcomed like family members, we were able to discover the culture, cook and share meals with them, ask them all kinds of questions... The landscapes during the trek were magnificent, between rice fields and forests. A real immersion, without other tourists. Unforgettable moments guaranteed.

Unforgettable moments - These two days spent with the Ethos community were wonderful. Our guide, Ker, taught us a lot about Hmong culture and their way of life. We were very well received by his family who are very warm and we ate so well. The landscapes were equally incredible. I recommend doing this trek with the Ethos community to everyone, it was so enriching. I will never forget these moments.

Best experience you can have in Sapa - The Ethos team is excellent. From our first interaction with them, Hoa provided a clear detailed itinerary and options. She made us feel welcomed and went above in providing recommendations for Sapa and even for our other stops in Vietnam. The tour we did, Spirit tree, was a wonderful way to get to know the beauty of Sapa and the way of life in the country side. Our tour guide, Ker, was very knowledgeable and especially because she lives and grew up in the area, could expertly give details of the landscape, way of life of the hmong people and the area. We had lunch with our tour guides family, who were so hospitable and welcoming. I would highly recommend using Ethos when visiting Sapa.
