Challenging, rewarding, beautiful, unique. - This was exactly the trekking experience I was hoping for. Through rice terraces, bamboo forests, mountain passes, staying at delightful homesteads. The trek was designed by our guide Zhu, taking us along tracks off the beaten track. Highly recommended.

2 day - 1 night Trek Review - We did a 2 day / 1 night trek and it was amazing! Our guide (Chau) was so friendly and nice and was full of knowledge and answered all of our many questions about the animals, tribes, rice fields etc. The trek was a bit of a challenge but definitely worth it, a once in a lifetime experience! Any photos you've ever seen don't do justice. You need to book this tour and see for yourself, you will be in awe! The food was also very good, you won't go hungry I promise. This is our favourite experience in Vietnam so far. :) :)

Super experience in Sapa - I can recommend this tour 100%. We had it all: Adventure, beautiful views, nice homestays, good food and especially in Su a wonderful guide. She answered all questions and was always helpful. With her positive and humorous nature she has made the tour very special. Those who bring enough time should definitely book this tour with 4D/3N.

It all starts with fabulous communication and a great desire to fulfil your dreams 🥰 - 2 couples above 50’s had a desire to trek Sapa in a way that would be challenging yet attentive to our needs. And that’s exactly what we found with our amazing guide, the lovely and beautiful Pang. She led by example and also arranged everything that was needed or necessary for an outstanding experience. Changes in route, no problem 😉, special diet and dinner requests, check ✅ And with the support of the office everything turned out to be an unforgettable experience.

Best and hardest trekking tour ever - Sang, our guide did an amazing job showing us around in the nearby villages for 4 days. The trekking it self was on a pretty advanced level, and we all were totally crushed after a day of walking, but with all the fantastic views of the rice terraces and the delicious home cooked meals we got, we were always ready for a day more! I would recommend everyone visiting Vietnam and Sapa to do this tour!

4D3N trek in June - I trekked at the end of June during the summer wet season. Although it was about 23 degrees in Sapa, most of the walk was in the valley where the temperature was 31-32 degrees. I was fortunate in that it didn't rain while we walked. Rain made the track muddy and slippery in places and in would have been much slower going. I’m 56 and fairly fit. But the trek was much harder than I thought especially day two - largely because there were big distances between food/water stops and lots of ups and downs. I was the only person in my group and sometimes I felt left out if my guide was talking to her friends especially when we were at our accomodation. My guide Sue was lovely and looked after me well. I loved hearing stories about her life. I learnt lots from her and enjoyed her company. I needed to carry my clothes and toileries for four days on my back. I took the absolute minimum -two sets of clothes and washed my clothes in the evening. I didn’t bring shampoo. I took sunscreen and insect repellent and a comfortable pair of shoes. It would’ve been great to have my tramping boots and walking poles but I made do with my normal sneakers. The kilometres walked didn't really reflect the level of difficulty. Sometimes we walked on the road or concrete paths but the majority of the time were on goat-like tracks which was slower going and required watching ones feet. Sometimes we walked along the thin Paddy rice fields walls. The heat was quite challenging and punishing.  I would recommend each day asking the guide how long between the opportunities to buy water or food and be prepared by taking snacks/banana and extra water. I got caught out on day 2 and didn't eat between 8 and 3. The food at the homestays were very nice. The lunch time food stops were of variable quality.

Great tour with a great guide - What a unique experience walking through the rice fields and the local mountain villages! Even though the weather didn’t really favor us (lots and lots of fog and rain), we still really enjoyed our trip. Being May it was mostly planting season for the rice, meaning they were mostly green or just filled with water that reflected the light quite nicely. Since it was raining quite a bit, some parts of the trek was very muddy and slippery, making the path rather difficult. Frankly, during rainy season it’s better to rent rubber boots (you can do it at their office before starting the trek - 2 USD/day), note, however, that the maximum size is 44 which is the equivalent of 42/43 EU. Our guide “So” did an amazing job leading us and explaining local nature and culture, not to mention that he is a genuinely nice and funny person. We really did have fun with him :) The homestays were great and the families were very welcoming. This tour is highly recommended and we would do it again in a heartbeat, perhaps during harvest season (end of Aug, Sep), although it’s much busier that time. In May we hardly met any tourists.

4 day trek in Sapa - We did the 4 day trek and had a mixed experience. The first day was awesome and I would definitely recommend the one night and two day tour of this area. After the first night the home stays become very rustic and uncomfortable. Our last night the room was a tiny cement room with no ventilation and was so hot we couldn’t sleep. Had no windows and we couldn’t leave door open to air out room as when we did a huge spider came into room (8 inches long) so we kept door shut. The room was dirty as well, food very basic. We got to spend time with two other guides on our first home stay ((Sun and Su Su) where we learned more things than our 4 days with our guide. Our guide Li was super nice and warm person but we didn’t learn much about the different cultures which is why we went. Just needs to train and study more and work on English skills and she will become a great guide. Lastly, the 4 day Trek has many, many hours of walking on the streets with scooters buzzing you, dogs barking, and trash. I know that’s what life is like in the villages, but when I think trek I think of nature. Route felt contrived to be able to fill 3.25 days. We took the non -Touristy route thinking it would be more nature.
