A New Year’s Eve to Remember

As the sun rises on December 29th, the weather remains favorable for exploring Sa Pa. The day begins with high cloud cover, gradually giving way to more sunshine, making it perfect for a morning trek. The Valley Trek offers a deeper dive into the cultural landscapes of Sa Pa, starting at 9:00 AM. This three-day, two-night tour takes you through five different villages, each home to distinct ethnic minorities such as the Hmong, Giay, and Red Dao.

The highlight of the trek is the visit to the Red Dao village of Giang Ta Chai, where you’ll be welcomed by a local family and have the chance to participate in an informal cooking class. The day ends with a homestay in Ban Ho village, where you’ll be embraced by the warmth of a Tay family.

“Loved it! - I went on 3d/2n trekking with the amazing Soso as a guide. She’s a wonderful and knowledgeable guide that speaks great English. We were never in a rush and had time to enjoy, talk and learn about the local places and traditions. More than a wonderful guide, she was someone that I really enjoyed the company of for these 3 days. Thank you so very much Soso!!” - Reviewed on 2024-12-05
