The perfect trek - Huge thank you to Chan and her little sister for making our trip so memorable! My mom and I joined a trek recently and so enjoyed learning about life in the area and more. Chan's kindness and perspective really shone through and we appreciated her kindness and graciousness! This is the very best guided tour out there - don't hesitate go ahead and book! :)

Highly Recommend-Authentic Experience - We are so grateful for our time with Chan and her family. We elected to do the 2 day, 1 night trek (option 2 on the website). It was such an authentic experience- we felt that we really got a taste of Hmong life away from some of the tourist traps you might see around Sapa. They are operated by an individual family-so in many ways by choosing this tour, you are supporting this family from a minority community directly. In general- everything was way above expectations. Communication before and during the tour was excellent. Chan is so friendly, funny, and speaks perfect English. Chan prioritized safety during our hike, which as a former outdoor guide myself, is extremely appreciated. Chan’s family was so welcoming. We learned how to make spring rolls and even tried our hand at weaving. And the FOOD. Chan & her husband Sung met in culinary school and it shows-so far one of our best dinners in Vietnam. Finally-her home is beautiful and accommodations were very comfy and private.

2D1N trekking - It was a lovely experience, where we learnt so mich about the culture of the tribes around Sapa. We had so much fun with our guide Chen and played with her children in the evening. We did the two day trekking with a night at her family home. Really really would recommend it, it was one of our highlights!

Amazing time in Sa Pa - My wife, three sons (10 months and 3 and 6 years old) booked the two days tour. Chan and her family are really a very lovely family. We felt home and welcome from the moment we arrived. The planning of the trekking tour was super easy as Chan and I agreed on everything via WhatsApp. As we came to Sa Pa with the night train from Hanoi, we did not want to start the tour right away with the kids. Therefore, we planned a calm day before the tour and luckily we followed Chan's proposal and spent already the first day/night at her house/homestay. In the evening we had a lovely dinner with two other guests and Chan and her family. The dinner was mainly cooked by Chan's husband who is an amazing chef! It was one of our best meals we had in Vietnam. The next day we started the tour with Chan and it was really a unique experience. Chan explained us a lot and also supported us with the kids. Out sons loved her and each of them wanted to hike with Chan. The trails we hiked were challenging, but manageable (also with the kids). We had amazing views and most of the time it was only us and Chan, i.e. Chan's guided us off the beaten tracks. For us the stay and trekking tour with Chan and her family was a unique experience we will always remember. Hopefully, one day we have the chance to come back and stay and hike with them again.

Trekking 2 days 1 night - Super trek with sung for 2 days and one night. We crossed the rice fields, the villages the first day then at the bend of a path we arrived at their house to spend the night in the village of tan van. Spacious and nicely decorated room At the heart of the family with his wife Chan and their 3 children we shared the evening meal and finished with a glass of rice wine before going to bed. The following day it rained which shortened our day. After lunch we were soaked but happy to have crossed the bamboo forests. Sung is learning to speak French, he already knows a lot of words and wants to meet French people to practice so don't hesitate, he's a great guide. It was a great trek to places we wouldn't have discovered alone. Warm welcome, everything was perfect

Had an Exellent Experience with Chan and Her Family! - This was a fantastic experience with Chan, Sung and their kids! They could not have been more fun, gracious and welcoming. The stay was comfortable and clean. The food, which we helped prepare as part of the fun and experience, was great! And playing games with Chan and the kids was a highlight. Oh yes, the views and the trekking, outstanding! I highly, highly recommend a stay here; you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Chan!

Authentic trekking experience - Chan and her family were so welcoming and generous. They took the time to plan the experience with me to consider activity level as well as incorporating my interest in the traditional textile craft. I learnt so much and had a wonderful time staying in their beautiful home and exploring the villages and mountains. Thank you again

Amazing stay with an amazing family! - Everything was amazing because of the amazing hosts, location and wonderful landscape! When I arrived in Sapa town it was cold, misty and wet (a contrast to the city of Hanoi) and I was collected by Sung (Father/husband of the family). We had a 25-30min wet and windy motorbike ride from the town, down to the village where the weather had cleared. At arrival to the house I simply cried at the shear beauty of the landscape and could not believe how lucky I was to be in such a beautiful part of the world. I did a couple of treks, one with Sung, one with his wife Chan. The stay is like staying with family or friends, not a posh hotel and so much better for it. It has what you need and no more, because you are there for the experience of the villagers and I was so privileged to eat and stay with the family and share a glimpse into their lives. I enjoyed it so much, that we all went on a mini break together to Phu Quoc the following week. We have become a new family. Both Chan and Sung are so hospitable and their three beautiful children made the whole experience/stay that much better for me "Uncle Lawrence". The location is fantastic, the real local food is amazing and I hope to return again at Xmas to celebrate with them and their wider family, who I got to know during my stay. The Hoang Family epitomise the Vietnamese hospitality. I was a solo traveller in a country I'd never visited before, but I was never alone because of the welcoming arms of the beautiful nation. Thank you!!!! See you soon! Comfort, I only put a smiley face, only because I prefer a slightly softer bed. Not complaining, just to inform the reader. But from my stay in Vietnam over that 4 weeks, I'd say 90% of hotel beds were also on the firm side (same as in Thailand). But you won't care once you experience the place. Hope this helps. Cheers
