Beautiful tour despite bad weather - We had spontaneously booked the tour and were very surprised that there were only two of us on the tour. We were picked up directly from the hostel. Jane our tour guide was super friendly and explained everything to us. Unfortunately we did not have good weather that day, so we had to choose the easy hiking trail. Wear sturdy footwear as a tip in the rain. Otherwise, the tour was fantastic. Despite very heavy fog, we had a beautiful view of the rice fields in the valley. After a long hike we arrived at the restaurant for the cooking class. The cook and the owner were very friendly and showed us a lot. The only thing I would have liked was to be involved a bit more in the kitchen. We were allowed to fold spring rolls but e.g. did not make the filling. The homemade food was abundant and super delicious. Overall a highly recommended tour.

Good insight into the lives of the locals - Nice tour to get an insight into the life of the locals. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t play along with us and we had almost no visibility through the fog at the beginning, but nobody can help it. Our tour guide Jane picked us up right at the hostel and was able to give us good information about the region and the rice fields. At the cooking class we rolled and fried spring rolls ourselves. It would be nice to be more involved in the cooking process. So that you also make the filling. The food was delicious and we had a lovely day.

My 1st amazing trekking experience - I enjoyed loads of things that belongs to that trip. My 1st trekking experience was so amazing thanks to the guides, the landscape, and the experience itself. It was cold but cool. The local food was so amazing, taste of nature. So chill.

Authentic and unforgettable sapa experience with 1DaySapa! - I recently joined a trekking and cooking class tour with 1DaySapa, and it was truly one of the best experiences I’ve had in Sapa. The trek was perfectly planned—not too challenging but offered breathtaking views at every turn. The guide was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing stories of the local culture, which made the journey even more special. The highlight for me was the cooking class. Being welcomed into a local family’s home, learning to cook traditional dishes by the fire, and chatting with them felt so authentic and personal. It wasn’t just a cooking class; it was a beautiful cultural exchange. Everything about the tour was well-organized, from the itinerary to small but thoughtful details like meals and water. It’s clear the team at 1DaySapa puts a lot of heart into what they do. If you’re looking for a unique, meaningful, and well-run experience in Sapa, I highly recommend 1DaySapa! I’ll definitely return to try their motorbike or camping tours next time.
