Magical!!! - This a must when you are in Sabah! Monkeys, fireflies and four hornbills flying over us at the end of the cruise. Both boat rides are fun, you can see everything clearly even without binoculars (but you can easily rent it). Dinner was fine. Although it was a long ride by bus it was absolutely worth it!

Tour objectives achieved! - I struggled with a wide range of tour prices, but I chose one with a lot of mouths and one with a middle amount. There was no doubt about the choice! The purpose of the tour was to see wild animals, so my friend didn't understand English, but he thought of a cospa and signed up for this tour. The tour Guides were gentle and pleasant, and our language was limited, but we were happy to discover them because they were easy to understand English, Tengu monkeys, which everyone wanted to see, were said in Japanese, and people around us responded when they found them. There was a lot of rain on the night of July, but I was very happy to see fireflies.

Lovely river cruise and great guides - Had a lovely time on this river cruise. Klias River is beautiful. On the first cruise, we saw baby crocodiles, macaque monkeys, and proboscis monkeys. The tour guides (Jamil and James) were lovely and happily answered all our questions about the river biodiversity. They also stopped at multiple locations along the river to ensure everyone got to see things. The guides get the boat all the way to the shore, so getting good photos is purely dependent on the monkeys!! The dinner was tasty and plentiful. The second cruise to see the fireflies was also great. We got to see so many! For anyone wondering about the journey, I experienced great communication about pick up from my hotel (Marilyn is on WhatsApp). The journey was 2 hrs each way in a minibus/van with excellent aircon. Great Klias River tour. - Except for the rain the whole experience was great and value for money. Excellent guide “Suliman” was both knowledgeable and entertaining. We got to see the proboscis monkey and lots of fireflies after rain showers which stopped.

Beautiful river Cruise - The transfer is a little bit long but totally worth it. Our guide was amazing for the first time in Kota Kinabalu. Well organized and communicated trip to the Klias river. We have seen a raptile lots of monkeys and the fire flies. Thanks.

Nice Program - Our tour guide Jason is a nice guy and he took us around the city and saw the highlights as offered by the program. Nice tour and we enjoy it and also enjoy our stay there n Brunei.

Gorgeous fireflies - Saw a few proboscious monkeys but the fireflies are stunning. They were like lighting on a Christmas trees. So.e were attracted to our boat and stayed on our hands. Gorgeous. It is definitely woth seeing for city people like me who live in the concrete jungle. I joined on 22 Jun 2024 and our driver drove safely and was knowledgeable.

Well worth the 2 hour journey - Long journey but well worth it, saw lots of Monkeys and the Fireflies and the dinner was enjoyable. Only negative was the bus seats were a little uncomfortable for the length of the journey.

Very short ride - Overall the tour was average. Pros : 1- The cruise is very quiet and smooth, since you are in a river there are no bumps. 2- The night cruise was actually good, watching all these fireflies filling up the trees, many of them. Also some may come to the boat, they are small and magical. 3- The staff is friendly. Cons : 1- After driving for two hours from Kota Kinabalu you expect that you are going deep in the river and its jungle but it’s actually a very short ride and you are able to see houses and the main road. The driver did not even go that far he just took a quick spin around the place and back in no time. 2- The monkey watching cruise (the first one) is nothing special, you barely see them as they are high up in the trees and they do not interact. Also the ones we saw were all young and small. We saw only one big monkey but it was hiding. 3- The dinner is not good as well, but there are some snacks you can buy.
