Great Experience - The guide Yan was awesome! Yan provided a nice review of the history and favelas before taking us to the main square and area with the food and music. There were a few opportunities for pictures as well. The street food was nice and well priced. The drinks were great! Recommend wearing shoes you don't mind getting dirty because there are puddles and holes between the cobblestone.

Amazing Rio party night - This is a genuine not to be missed experience. A massive street party in Little Africa on the steps used for slave trade for 400 years. A party of reclaiming African heritage with samba happens there every week. Our host was Gustav, and he was fantastic company. We loved his insights into the history and culture of Rio. Tasty cocktails - but watch out, they have a kick!

Incredible samba energy in Rio - Incredible place, the energy you feel is unique, best day to go on Monday! It’s a good idea to arrive early to get a seat for a good view, after it gets very crowded it’s difficult to walk… I thought it was safe because it was an off-season day (end of the year and Carnival) but of course it's always good to be smart. Take a photo or video and put your cell phone away. In addition to the outdoor samba, there are several bars and stalls selling drinks! I will definitely come back
