Top organizer - We had booked a 1 day trip from Soma Bay to Luxor. When preparing, I decided to make it a 2-day trip and book the hotel myself. After I didn't get an answer for a day, the email came that summarized everything the way I wanted it. We were picked up from the hotel on time with driver and guide Ahmet, who told us a lot about the local conditions and history. In Luxor itself the guide changed and we got a fluent German speaking guide Ahmed Mostafa, who was really great. We were looked after around the clock and really felt like we were in good hands. On the second day we went for lunch at our own expense, which I can only recommend, the restaurant Ahmed chose was wonderful. Yes, we were also driven to the papyr and stonemason sales exhibitions, but at least the second time Ahmed offered us to skip it. We had two great days in Luxor and can only recommend this organizer!

What a day! - What an experience, we had to delay our trip as was poorly but Nada from the company was really kind and rearranged the day we went. She was wonderful throughout. We were picked up at 5.30am, bang on time. The driver collected the other driver in the way. Both were super, really friendly and courteous, no hassle at all. After a long drive where we had a rest break on the way we met with our guide who was wonderful through the day. Very knowledgeable about ancient Egypt and courteous throughout. Karnak Temple, well we could have stayed there all day really. I'm still processing what we saw. We had booked a sailboat trip but the wind was too high, our guide negotiated a river crossing to banana island instead which was a beautiful experience. We went to lunch in a restaurant, all absolutely fine, just pay for drinks. Then we headed to Valley of the Kings. That was some experience, another massive part of the memorable day that will live in the memory. How the tombs were built was mind boggling, our guide told us how long each took and what the workers did. Mind blowing. The last part of the tour was to Hatshepsut Temple. The stories our guide told us, especially about her son was incredible. Heading back, we ended up in an alabaster factory, the least enjoyable part. Promised no hard sell, it was really awkward, being given lovely drinks then the sales pitch. I did not like being put in that difficult position to accept hospitality then feel pressured to buy something. We dropped our guide off then headed back for the long drive to our hotel. What a day. I am so grateful to Nada of Marsa Alam tours for helping us and keeping us informed throughout. Our drivers and guide were excellent and I cannot praise or thank them enough for making this day one that I will never forget.

Excellent soma bay to Luxor day trip - 14 March 2022. The booking was simple and done the night before over WhatsApp. Pick up at 530am by Khalid the driver. He was brilliant all day…very efficient driver who was quick and safe. Roads are busy but felt really safe with him. Very very nice ac car. Actually I was very surprised and happy. Trip from soma bay to Luxor was long but really easy. Breaks and toilet stops ( very clean ) were very good. Met our wonderful guide Naama who accompanied us throughout stay in Luxor. Very clear and easy to understand English speaker. She spoke at a nice level of expertise, but when asked could really hit you with detail. Really enjoyed her thoughts on many things in modern Egypt. The tour was as described. Karnak, valley of kings, nice lunch, trip over Nile in motor launch etc. We added an extra tomb at Naama’s recommendation which was very good and really lifted the “standard tombs “. Went to a perfume shop which was interesting and there was no hard sell..we did not buy. Offered the alabaster factory which we declined. Again no issues. Upgraded to a felucca sailboat at end of day. $40 per couple seems a lot but it’s because the boat is all yours…beautiful way to end day - really enchanting tacking on the Nile. Last point is security and safety.. we felt really secure and looked after. A lot of police checks which felt strange coming from UK, but actually in the end comforting. Our guide and driver really made us feel happy. Andrew

Great private tour to Luxor - We loved everything! Private tour is very comfortable. Going with our guide through Karnak Temple we did our best avoiding our people and staying in the shadow. Our guide Hami was very interesting to listen to. He is an egyptologist which makes a lot of difference because he is not telling just the text which he learned, he is really telling the story. And he is telling this story also depending on our questions. Also great that he is fluent in English. We skipped papyrus and alabaster factory because we had seen it before. Lunch was served in a small restaurant and the food was very tasty. Afterward we were quite lucky because in The Valley of Kings were just other 3 small groups except of us. Before going there Hami went to the supermarket and bought cold water for us telling us that now it will get bed. It was very hot but being there basically by ourselves made it magical. I’ve seen this tour in a group before. Now I’ve seen it absolutely differently and I’m completely amazed! I‘ll definitely recommend it to my friends.

Wonderful memories - We started the trip early in the morning with Asim, our driver for the day. He drove us to Luxor in a very speedy but incredibly safe way where we were met by our German and English speaking travel guide Ahmed Mostafa. We couldn’t believe our luck when we realised how senior this professional certified tour guide was. All our questions were answered in an accomplished and accurate way. These guys provided us with plenty of the much needed water bottles, snacks and small change for the restroom. We didn’t have to worry about entrance fees and tips and we got a lovely lunch with no side effects. At the sites of interest we got to know the best spots for great views and photos. It was a long day which we’ll remember for ever. Having visited during Ramadan we got the extra enriching insight during sunset which we’ll keep in our hearts forever as well. Thank you Ahmed Mostafa, Asim and Marsa Alam Tours! We’ll certainly book with you again directly from Switzerland on our next trip to the Red Sea. Inshallah!

Beautiful trip with beautiful people - We departed from the hotel early in the morning and the driver was kind enough to offer without any hesitation his own clothes when we were feeling a bit cold. The ride was very smooth and we enjoyed a beautiful scenery during it. We also stopped at a local shop where we could buy fashionable clothes at reasonable (negotiable) prices and enjoyed local toilets with freshly washed floors. Upon arrival to Luxor we were greeted by well-spoken guide. He was kind enough to pay for our beverages as we forgot to withdraw money (dummies lol). The tour started by visitation of Karnak temple where we discovered a local swimming pool. The next stop was a papirus shop luckily we still had no money, so we were not forced to buy anything. Then we had lunch, the food was just spectacular and the company even more. Then we needed to visit first two ATMs as the expenses started rising, but the driver was willing enough to get us swiftly to those. Then we visited Valley of the Kings, beautiful holes in the mountains, not much to say here. There were many more stops after this, but I don't want to spoil the pleasure. 10/10 we recommend!

Worth the trip - discovering parts of Egypt’s history and see the countryside on the way - We had a great private tour, which was definitely worth the long drive. Jahab, our driver, was always keen on telling us about things happening on the side of the road. Our guide was lovely and she was very knowledgeable - helping us to make sense of the long Egyptian history.
