Highlights
  • Corbiere Lighthouse (La Corbiere) - Visit our stunning lighthouse, known as “a place where crows gather,” originating from the word corbîn, which means crow. However, seagulls have long since taken over the coastal nesting sites from the crows.

  • Elizabeth Castle - Elizabeth Castle has protected Jersey for over 400 years. Sir Walter Raleigh served as Governor of Jersey from 1600 to 1603, and the grounds provided refuge to King Charles II during the English Civil War.

  • St. Brelade’s Bay Beach - This picturesque Jersey beach at St Brelade’s Bay is one of the island’s most beloved, cherished by visitors for its golden sand and safe swimming conditions.

  • St Aubin’s Harbour - Once a fishing village on the west side of Saint Aubin’s Bay, opposite St Helier to the east, St Aubin is the heart of the parish of St Brelade. Its name honors Saint Aubin, the 6th Century C.E. bishop of Angers, and may be linked to a long-lost chapel.

Informative and beautiful - It was great to see Jersey from the sea, it gave a different view from what we'd already seen. The colours if the rocks were amazing.

Fantastic trip. Good value for money - A fantastic 2 hour trip. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable during the trip. Such lovely sights to see along the way and lucky enough to spot a pod of dolphins which the captain slowed down for us to get a good view. Hot and cold drinks available too !

Relaxing Couple of Hours on the Jersey Duchess. - We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 Hr afternoon Tour on the Jeresy Duchess. We left St Helier around 2 p.m. on a lovely Sunny afternoon heading west around St Aubin's Bay, before seeing Portelet Bay & St Brelade's Bay before arriving at Corbiere Lighthouse. A really relaxing trip & whilst we were fully informed of the sights & sites that we were viewing it was all by way of a pre recorded commentary; it would have been a little more interesting if the captain or his 'mate' might have added 'appropriate commentary' enroute further enlightening us on our trip.

Very enjoyable trip - The views were amazing and the skipper provided some insightful knowledge during the journey. I wish I’d known there was the opportunity to purchase drinks and snacks on board as I wouldn’t have bought anything beforehand. That would be my only bit of constructive feedback. Enjoyable experience!

Boat Trip - Went on the Jersey Duchess on one of the very hot days a week ago. Bought tickets in Liberty Square (£50) each and walked (quite a distance) to Albert Quay. A lot of people waiting and got very crowded with people trying to get a good seat on the boat. Boat was a little late arriving which caused some discontent among people waiting. Once on the boat, seats were comfortable but quite squashed because number of people. Trip around the bays with a really good commentary. Pointed out a number of features that you probably couldn’t see from the roads on the island. Le Corbiere is spectacular from the island or the sea. A bar on the boat served hot/cold drinks and snacks. Crewed by Alice, the bar area was popular, especially those seats near the steps to the upper deck.

Great overview of the island - Nice little tour. Long enough to see the island coastline and get a feel for what the island has to offer. But short enough to fit into a half day.

View from the sea - Booked this 2 hour cruise on the Jersey Duchess with the Waterbus Company and it’s a great way to see the South West coast of the island from a different perspective. I dare say the weather and sea conditions play a large part too but the commentary was clear, interesting and informative and the boat gets fairly close up to the various bays and attractions. Seems to be a popular trip but I was lucky enough to get a seat on top deck. Worth taking on board their advice to bring some additional clothing as it can get chilly at sea but remember the sun cream too! Once they’ve reached the lighthouse, it’s a straight run back to port but that’s fine as you’ve seen everything on the way out.

The trip that never was and the refund that never happened - AVOID!! - This is a rip-off. The trip was cancelled due to bad weather; the rescheduled trip did not happen either. I have been trying to recover a refund for over a month and no-one wants to know and no-one responds to emails. Don't bother with this trip; find a decent tour organiser like the man with a kiosk in the main square at St Helier who runs the bus tours around the island. Far more reliable and good fun as well.
