My New Favorite Island! - Where do I start?! One of the most enjoyable tours I've been on. Our guide Lorenzo learned all of our names by the time we got to the bus. He was very knowledgeable, funny and extremely charismatic! We learned about the history of the island on our way to the Macmillan Antiguan home where we got to see items that dated a few centuries back and lots of old photographs. We enjoyed probably the Best herbal tea I've ever had in the company of parrots, Cici the Cat and even a turtle! Our next stop was the Pineapple farm which is in the process of being restored to it's former glory, although we were given a disclosure it was still enjoyable to learn and see all the other fruit trees growing, someone even picked Mangos while Lorenzo explained the propagation process! Our last stop was at Ffryes Tiki Bar where we enjoyed rum punch and a delicious lunch! One of the most beautiful beaches I've seen in my life. After spending some time on the beach it was time to head back to port. I cannot wait to come back to Antigua where I will absolutely be booking through Heavenly Tours!

Entertaining tour - This was the best shore excursion tour during our cruise. And it was because of our fantastic tour guide Lorenzo. He made the tour so interesting. He entertained us on the bus. He played the steel drums at the beach where we had a delicious lunch. We liked him so much, we asked if we could take a picture of him and us as a souvenir. He gladly obliged and gave us a big smile. We highly recommend a shore excursion with Lorenzo.

Lorenzo is amazing! - Lorenzo our tour guide was an incredibly informed and charismatic tour guide who really helped us understand Antigua as an Island. We really feel like we got the "local" experience, not an overly cultivated tourist trap. Please be advised that this your is restricted to your group which may be up to 15 folks, not just the folks you are traveling with. Again, try to get Lorenzo as he has been one of the best parts of our trip!

Don't waste your precious time in Antigua on this tour! Completely disappointed! - This trip is a waste of time and money. Don't waste any of your precious time in this country on this horrible tour. My husband and I are so disappointed. Wear good, sturdy and comfortable shoes as you're walking on steep, uneven paths and also in grassy areas. The first stop was at the McMillan home and that was a huge disappointment. It was a private residence, just a regular home on top of a big hill with lots of junk all over the place like photos, knick knacks, chachkies and junk and they say its like a museum. It was just an old home with a lot of junk and clutter all over. It was nothing that I would want to see. It was just a cluttered, junk filled house. The next stop at the pineapple farm was really nothing to write home about either. You didn't actually get to see any pineapples. You saw a small, approximately 4x8 patch of seedlings, and a couple of areas where the pineapples are growing, and you can only see the leaves growing on top of the ground. The guide pointed out all of the local trees and bushes, which was really boring and not what I wanted to see or learn about in Antigua. The last stop at the beach was nice The lunch was okay. The best part of the day was our tour guide Alexis. He was very funny and kept us entertained with his wit and charm.

Great Guides, Tour Not So Much - We booked this tour through Expedia Shore Excursions. There were 28 people signed up for the tour and were divided into two groups of 14. Tour guide Alexis was the highlight with his knowledge and humor. The tour itself failed to live up to our expectations. I expected to see an historic home with artifacts. We actually visited the 1970's home of Yvonne & Brian MacMillan. Yvonne is a nice lady whose family history on the island goes back a couple of centuries. The home more resembles that of a hoarder as there are items everywhere. Every surface is covered with items collected over the years. Without them being displayed and organized there was little context for what we were seeing. We couldn't separate the rare historical items from the cheap collectables. The black pineapple plantation turned out to be a small patch of 20-30 young plants in a field. The main plantation was in the distance. Alexis did his best to describe pineapple farming but we wanted more. Lunch and free time at Ffryes beach became the highlight of the tour. We were greeted at Ffryes Tiki Bar with a fruit or rum punch. Lunch was BBQ chicken breast, salad, rice and noodles. Food was good and we had a chance to swim in the ocean. Guide Alexis and driver Marlon did their best to give us a good tour but they were hampered by the itinerary.

What a waste of time - This excursion was so bad! Started out at a home where a couple lives. Filled with junk! Next the pineapple farm ..see pic! Next to that was a house with trash everywhere in the yard and mops hanging on s clothes line! Then to top off a shack at the beach where they were disorganized and dirty to serve lunch! My husband and I chose to not eat. The guide although very nice was not educated as a guide and made us wait for her in the bus constantly. Don’t book this!
