Embark on a comprehensive journey to the major locales of the 1944 Normandy invasions. We’ll begin at the renowned Point Du Hoc site, famed for its bunkers, bomb craters, and the notable cliff climbing scene from ‘The Longest Day’. You’ll also hear from veterans of the Rangers in a documentary at the Point Du Hoc visitor center. Afterwards, we proceed to Omaha Beach, home to bunkers equipped with anti-tank guns, and the ‘Overlord Museum’ with a wide array of relics including tanks (Shermans, Tigers, Panzers) other items such as weapons, uniforms and machine guns. To conclude the tour, we’ll visit the deeply moving Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer. Lunch at a local restaurant on Omaha Beach (cost not included). The trip is exclusive to your group and includes a dedicated guide, and is conducted via a comfortable Ford Galaxy III car, which can pick you up from your hotel.
