Isimangaliso night safari - Awesome drive at night. The weather was nice and cool.
Was fortunate to have a close encounter with a leopard being chased by hyenas. All thanks to our most helpful and wonderful driver siyabonga who tried his utter best to get us closest to the leopard.
Seen some zebras, hyenas, and hippos as well.

Amazing Experience!!! - We stayed at Heritage House & went on a few tours with them, & absolutely loved our experience!
The accommodation was homey, clean, & comfortable, & all the staffs were very nice & friendly. They helped to coordinate all the tours for us, which made it very convenient.
We enjoyed all the tours, but we all decided our favorite was the Night Safari, which was a nice surprise as we initially didn’t plan to do it, but added it to our itinerary based on Bonita’s recommendation - & we were so glad we did!
It was an experience unlike any other game drives or night safaris we’ve ever had before (& we’ve had quite a few!). The tour guide (whose name sounded like Shakira) was absolutely fantastic both at spotting & driving - which meant a lot of off-roading. We saw everything from hyenas, grazing hippos, bush babies, to the tiniest new born chameleon. Seeing the animals at night also gave a completely different feeling.
Highly recommend!

A unique experience - The tour was a really great experience!
A night safari is something special and you should definitely have done one in addition to the usual safaris during the day.
The guide was really great too. He started by giving a brief introduction to the park, the surrounding area, the land itself and the languages here. An informative and interesting, not too long introduction. Then it was time for the park. The guide drove really well and safely, he has an incredible view, because he could assign all the animals directly to the distance, whereas for us it was initially just some bright eyes. There was also a short coffee/tea break with delicious muffins.
All in all: absolutely recommended!!

Great tour......Do it!! - We had a great tour led by the friendly, very knowledgeable ranger, Sinkhale. There were only two of us so essentially a private tour! Immediately after entering the park we spotted a Hyena and later bush babies, iguanas, hippos, zebras and as icing on the cake a beautiful leopard. Sinkhale managed to get these with sounds up to about 10 meters from our car which resulted in great photos / videos. After returning to the lodge, Sinkhale also demonstrated what his native language sounds like (part of the Zulu language). All in all enjoyed it very much and we can recommend this beautiful tour to everyone!

What an amazing experience. - What a fantastic night drive.
3 hours of pure bliss under the African night sky. Elephants, hippos, jackals, genets, bush babies, chameleons, Buffalo, zebra, Reed buck, duikers, Waterbuck and my favorite.... hyenas. A "laugh": 3 hyena seen in the distant, feeding on a very smelly kill, and my highlight: a "cackle" of 8 who came right up to the game viewing vehicle. Sakhile was an outstanding guide and even through in a quick Zulu lesson. What a brilliant outing.#hyenas

Thank you Heritage Tours & Safaris. - Our night drive safari in iSimangaliso Wetland Park was outstanding and well worth it. We were collected promptly at 7pm from our accommodation in St Lucia. Sakhile, our guide, was first-rate - he covered local culture, biodiversity, even astronomy during the coffee/tea/rusk/muffin break, all with a sprinkle of humour. Sakhile was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to find wildlife for us, from chameleons to spotted hyena (buffalo, hippo, zebra and more). The night drive exceeded our expectations, great experience! We enjoyed it so much we didn't even mind not seeing a leopard (although we did try). Thank you Heritage Tours & Safaris.

Super night safari - We had the best experience, the guide who was quite new at Heritage did an amazing job. We saw a lot of animals with as absulute highlight a leopard sighting, this leopard liked to be in the spotlight. Would do it again when we are in Santa Lucia. Highly recommend.

Shakule is the Best Guide - SPECTACULAR. Shakule Dube is the Best Guide You Can Have. After picking us up he offered us a small talk about the Zulu culture and the different clicks that have incorporated into the language tribes like the Xhosa, so the beginning is very interesting on an anthropological level, remarking that this time is not subtracted from the safari itself, since once you enter the national park Shakule dedicated to delight us discovering all kinds of animals, we saw even potamoquero and several chameleons that (WE DO NOT KNOW HOW) could see several dozens of meters. A beastly experience that culminated with sightings of leopards and hippo already in the same city of St Lucia.

Amazing adventure! - We had more or less one goal: spotting the elusive leopard. We had gone through several national parks and had managed to spot every animal in the big five other than the leopard, and certainly not for a lack of trying. Once we stepped into the vehicle, it soon became clear to us everyone else was also very enthusiastically hoping for a leopard.
It was a very eventful ride that ended up being quite the adventure. And at the end of that adventure, we saw something lying beside the road. It was a leopard and as we approached it, it got up and walked besides our vehicle for eight solid minutes.
The vehicle was filled with kind and enthoustic people, including our terrific guide Siyabonga, who was very kind, helpful and informative.
We would definitely recommend Heritage’s Night Drive to anyone interested. We certainly got an amazing adventure to talk about back home.

Dedicated tour with vermouth drops - The guide was very dedicated and drove with us even longer than originally planned because he wanted to show us many animals.
However, we didn’t like one point, which was that the elephant family was so disturbed by the suddenly approaching car with bright light that they anxiously fled into the bushes to the right and left of the path in an attempt to protect their babies.
That disturbed us a bit - we had booked the nightdrive mainly to see animals that are only on the road at night... However, this should be done more carefully and with more consideration for the animals.
