Honor Normandy American Heroes - My partner and I booked two full days of Normandy American Heroes tours with owner Rudy Passera. Rudy is very knowledgeable and passionate about D-Day/WW2 history. He brought the experiences of American Heroes and our allies to life. I will always remember the respect and honor Rudy showed, as he walked us through the American cemetery. He explained the beautifully unique headstones and how to learn about each fallen hero. Rudy picked us up at our Bayeux hotel on both days. He took beautiful pictures of us at different sites throughout our time with him and made sure we had enough time to absorb what we were seeing and learning about. He even helped us get a dinner reservation at a fine restaurant that was fully booked! I have a much deeper knowledge and appreciation of Normandy American Heroes, thanks to Rudy. The experience was worth every penny—don’t hesitate to book with Rudy!

Great Experience - Will Never Forget - My husband and I have had traveling to France and visiting Normandy on our bucket list for many years. We felt a private tour would be the very best way to gain the ultimate experience, and we were right. Normandy American Heroes was top-notch from start to finish. We easily booked our trip and connected several times with Myles and Lisa. Talk about the perfect guide - Lisa knocked it out of the park. Her heartfelt desire to tell the stories of the people and their bravery, brought the history to life. Our tour took us from Omaha Beach, Utah, Pointe du Hoc, Sainte Marie du Mont & the Normandy American Cemetery. I would highly recommend this tour & tour group - especially Lisa, we loved her passion to never forget and to honor these men & women. Thank you.

Heavy and beautiful day in Normandy - We decided to do a private tour, 4 of us and well worth it. We were picked up and dropped off at the front door of our hotel. Lisa as our tour guide was outstanding! Lisa also made sure to accommodate a friend who had a gluten allergy and even brought us to a supermarket, was such an experience from the states. Right from our first conversations with Rudy and Myles everything was seamless. Myles explained what the whole entire day would include and we couldn’t have been happier. Our driver Aurélien was awesome. We felt very safe with his driving skills and he even stopped at a full-service gas station where we could use the toilets in get food. This was definitely on my husband’s bucket list and I’m so happy that we were able to go and experience such an awesome day. Thank you again to Rudy and his awesome team. We will have this lasting memory forever. I wish we could give you 10 stars. I would highly recommend.

80th Anny DDay- Rudy Passera Personal, Knowledge and Always on Point - We booked Rudy 7 months ago to prepare for our 80th anniversary lifetime trip! As disappointed as I was with the Olympics not paying any recognition of our greatest generation, Bayeux Normandy and all of northern France flew morning USA flags in appreciation then our entire country back home. The people the ambience the appreciation the love, was endless. We celebrated the 80th anniversary in France, a lifelong dream, and for my cousin Scott, we celebrated his grandfather, a Indiana boy earning the bronze star thru Utah beach to Battle of the bulge, In Sainte Marie Du Mont outside of Utah and St Mere Eglise, my cousin was unexpectantly made an honorary citizen for having blood who came to save them. It was amazing…..so this is what we came for…..then came Rudy…. Rudy Passera with Normandy American Heroes took us for a 10 hour tour, following the grandpas step, the knowledge the personal touch of every step was Rudy, so if you plan on visiting, coordinate with him, as all special requests, details etc will happen. He was the strawberry on our Normandie adventure and he will always take care of you. All details were thought of before we needed anything!

Five star experience-very memorable trip - I just finished the Normandy American Heroes 14 day WWII tour and it couldn't have been better. Rudy has an in depth knowledge of so many events and explained everything in detail. It was a joy to spend the past 14 days on this tour with him. Having a chauffeur drive you to all the sites and handle all museum and tour areas makes the trip stress free. We covered about 2500 miles of Europe and saw so many areas that other tours would not go to. Being able to walk the same ground that our soldiers did in 1944 in Foy was quite an experience. We never felt rushed and had some relaxing time while he drove to the next site. He picked all the restaurants and everyone of them was great. We ate like Kings and yet didn't gain a pound as we walked an average of 11,000 steps per day. Rudy likes his ice cream every night so each dinner ended with ice cream. What could be better! The accommodations were all different yet all perfectly acceptable. I would definitely recommend his company and would consider another tour with him. Five stars all the way.

Fabulous 6 day private trip to Normandy and Belgium - I would very highly recommend doing a private tour with Rudy and Normandy American Heroes. We did a 6 day private tour in July 2024 with the following itinerary: Meet in Paris at CDG, drive to La Roche Gutyon, 3 nights in Normandy area (based in Bayeux), drive to Reims, 2 nights in Belgium (based in Bastogne), drive to Luxembourg American Cemetery, final night in Paris. I was with my 85 year old dad and 29 year old son. In a word, the trip was awesome. It was everything we hoped for and more. I have no hesitation recommending Rudy and I would suggest not wasting time looking around for others - he was awesome and I could not imagine a better situation. As a back story on this, this was a "bucket list" item for my Dad and probably his last overseas trip. It was scheduled for spring 2020, but then Covid. I had prepaid for it, and Rudy was awesome to work with on rescheduling. Due to various factors, it took 4 years to reschedule, but we pulled it off! That alone says a lot about Rudy and his flexibility and integrity. As for the trip, having a private guide and your own vehicle was huge. We saw the buses stopping at some of the spots, but realistically they can only do a limited set of things due to time, logistics, etc. With a small group and a private guide, we were able to do a ton of interesting things, many of them "off the beaten trail" and not things you would be able to see unless you had a knowledgeable private guide like Rudy. In addition, Rudy had all of the hotels and restaurants picked out. They were very comfortable and the food was very good. And having pre-paid for everything, all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. Rudy is also and excellent guide. His English is very good (he lived in the US for several years), and he has a very deep knowledge of all of the sites we visited. He would often correct misinformation or give us the back story on certain battles, etc. While I can't say I remember everything he told us, we all really felt like we learned a huge amount about the pre-invasion buildup, D-Day, and the post-invasion battles. I seldom write reviews on TripAdvisor, but Rudy is certainly worthy of one. While a private guide is more expensive than a bus tour, the product is completely different and worth every penny. This was a fabulous memory for all of us, and Rudy's flexibility, knowledge, and good humor made it an experience of a lifetime.

Great personalized tour! - My wife and I were guests of Normandy American Heroes in October 2023. We had some unique requirements in that we wanted to start in Normandy with the historical tours but wanted to end our tour in Bordeaux where we were meeting friends for a follow-on wine cruise. Rudy put together a great itinerary for my wife and me. Because our tour was both in and out of Normandy, we got to spend it with guide Pierre in Normandy and then with Rudy as we made our way south. Pierre picked us up at CDG and we spent a day visiting La Roche Guyon castle (Rommel’s HQ in Normandy). We then traveled to Gold Beach to see some of the Mulberry harbor remnants. We spent 2 evenings at a nice hotel in Bayeux with extremely friendly hosts. Our 2nd day was spent at Utah and Omaha Beach including a trip to the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. Our time on both beaches (including Pointe du Hoc) were great. My wife and I are both US Army veterans and I was very familiar with the order of battle. My wife was not as knowledgeable and did not want to learn the specifics. She wanted to hear stories and Pierre did not disappoint. The cemetery tour was scheduled during retreat and hearing TAPS always makes my wife and I tear up. After our Normandy tour was complete Rudy spent the next few days with us as we worked our way down south with stops at Mont Saint Michel (wow!), and Saumur Tank Museum. We made our way to Limoges where we had an opportunity to tour the museum of French Resistance. Our final stop on our trip to Bordeaux was an afternoon in Oradour sur Glane. My wife and I were not familiar with the history of Oradour sur Glane and the martyr town. It was a very gut-wrenching stop, but we were very glad it was included. Afterwards Rudy dropped us off at our hotel in Bordeaux to continue our French adventure. Both Pierre and Rudy were great travel companions and great story tellers. The accommodations and meals were great. They made you feel like friends from the first handshake. If you have an opportunity to travel, we highly recommend Rudy, Pierre, and Normandy American Heroes.

An Incredibly Life Changing experience with Pierre in Normandy - Pierre was truly amazing, both charming, and professional but most of all extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the Normandy experience. Our recent private Normandy tour helped us appreciate what my husbands Father experienced on D-day. Pierre told us stories of the soldiers as well as the civilians caught up in the war. We learned incedible details about the planning and execution of the landing in Normandy as well as the incredible odds our American soldiers faced in a way that has forever changed us. Pierre provided us just the right balance of historical facts, pictures, diagrams, stories, exploration of the country side and plenty of time to process our emotions during our two days together at Omaha and Utah beaches. We highly recommend spending two days with Pierre in Normandy. Craig & Teri

A life-long landmark trip: From Omaha beach to the Eagles Nest - My Dad and I took an incredible custom 14 day tour with Rudy starting in Normandy and ending in Berchtesgaden. The knowledge and storytelling Rudy put on display was something I will never forget, whether it was at the graves of American or German soldiers, in front of seemingly innocuous artifacts, or even in what at first glance seemed to be just empty fields but happened to be where some of the most defining actions of WW2 took place. Each location we traveled too came to life with these stories, and it only takes a quick glance at my camera roll to remember each one like I was standing there moments ago. While traveling to these locations across France, Belgium, and Germany we stayed at very comfortable hotels, tried many incredible local dishes, and learned about the history of the areas themselves such as our time in the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims or in Château de Chambord. We were even lucky enough to catch the tail end of the Christmas season in Luxembourg and experience the shops and sights there! This trip was one of the greatest shared experience for my dad and I to have done together and is something I will never forget!
