Great relaxing day in Koh Lanta! - We had a wonderful time - the mangrove tour was very peaceful and well led by the guide, who showed us different monkeys and birds and took us to a fantastic local restaurant (best food we had in koh lanta). Very well organised - the transport arrived at the hotel on time and we finished off with coconuts and a fantastic view. Would thoroughly recommend!

Fantastic excursion when feeling lazy - This trip is ideal if you don't feel like active kayaking but want to enjoy the beautiful mangroove with a motorboat. The highlight are the sweet monkeys that come to watch on board. Furthermore, a visit to Old Town is fun because of the more unique souvenirs. And the lunch spot with a view was definitely worth a visit. Because this excursion is strangely unpopular there are probably no other participants and it can be experienced as a private excursion

Get to know Koh Lanta - trust the process - This is a trip best done early in your visit to Koh Lanta. The trip shows off the entire island and will leave you with a list of places to revisit during your trip. I will say this for the tour - you have to trust the process. Booking it from here on Viator, there isn't a lot of itinerary information, so we weren't sure what to expect. We were taken from our hotel to a cute fishing village that requires an entrance fee of 20baht per person. From there, we went on a longtail boat through the mangroves, met a monkey, learned about the forest and saw a bunch of wildlife. At this point, I assumed the boat was headed to Old Town, but instead we went back to the fishing village and met up with our tour guide and her truck! She drove us all over the island, took us to a beautiful lunch at a cliffside restaurant and shopping in Old Town. Really, an amazing experience and we learned so much about the island.

It was a great tour around the island!! - We saw the important places and we got a lot of information from our guide. It was enough time to enjoy. Tour is a must-have during a stay in Koh Lanta. Many thanks to our great driver and our great guide.

Pretty poor tour - There are actually 8 itinerary choices and I chose itinerary 1 which was a full day. It was awful. The 'guide' wasn't a guide and barely spoke any English. He just drove the minibus between places. The Sanga-u Sea Gypsy Village was a tiny fishing place. We were there at about 11.30 so nothing was happening and the guide had no info to share at all. He seemed a bit puzzled about why were there at all. The rubber plantation involved almost no info at all. He cut a tree and we watched the white sap (rubber) ooze out. That was it. The mangrove long boat part was pretty chilled and nice enough. Old Town is tiny and just shops but that is hardly the tour operators fault. Lunch was a choice of two dishes and was tasty.
