Ours was a private tour with a biologist and expert birder who had eagle-eyes for spotting birds. Fantastic experience. - Santa Rita Reserve & Waterfall
We had a wonderful day with Santiago though exhausting. We started with breakfast and a short, jeep ride to reserve. We hiked in about 4km seeing amazing birds all along. Our guide was also great at sound ID. He brought fruit for a snack and water. Overall we walked 10 km, 8 stories, and saw around 35 species, many lifers for me.

Great birdwatching experience - I had a great morning with the guide Santiago. He was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the birds of the region. We saw a lot of different species and had a lot of amazing observations. The scenery and the surrounding areas were also beautiful.
Santiago explained a lot about the area and the species we saw, and he knew a lot of spots where various species could be expected to be seen. It was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in birds or nature in general.

Birdwatching - Our first day with Jorge was to Santa Rita Reserve. Great day, great experience, incredible birds. Jorge’s ability to spot and identify birds is amazing. In addition, his knowledge of the region’s wider ecology made the day that much more interesting. The walk to the waterfall was very straightforward and not at all strenuous. We were so impressed that we booked a second day with Jorge to the Cocora Valley. Once again, Jorge exceeded our expectations; the day was well organized, good lunch, lots of birds to see and Jorge’s bird spotting skills made the day.

An incredible experience we'll never forget ✨️ - We had a great time with Jorge. I wrote to him and asked some advice about planning a trip for my friend and I for 2 days that included bird watching, a visit to the paramo and a stop at nevados del ruiz. Jorge had great communication, and planned everything. On our first day we did bird watching in the paramo and then visited the hummingbirds and hot pools at nevados del ruiz. Be prepared for cold weather at high altitude! An absolute highlight for us was seeing the hummingbirds so close. Jorge took a lot of photos of us too which we appreciate. On the second day we went to Santa Rita reserve. We are bird watching beginners and Jorge taught us about the different species of birds. He is very knowledge about the names of birds, identifying them by their call, and finding them very quickly! Jorge is really passionate about birds, which makes him a great guide as he shares his passion for nature with you while guiding. A tip would be to take a good rain coat as we got a heavy shower while birding and had to shelter for a few minutes. Jorge organised all of the meals, and my friend who is gluten free was able to eat everything as almost all Colombian food is gluten free. We had an amazing incredible and highly recommend a bird watching trip with Jorge if you're in Salento!

Incredible bird watching - Incredible experience, both for the place (with great native vegetation and beautiful landscapes) and for the guide, who taught us and guided us at all times to have the best shots. The number of birds is impressive (we saw more than 40 species). I would definitely take another tour with this agency.
