The journey continues to the Buenos Aires coffee farm, where you’ll don traditional attire, including El Sombrero, a poncho, and a basket, to begin a comprehensive tour of the coffee-making process. This includes planting, care, growth, harvesting, pulping, drying, and collection. Midway through the tour, enjoy a peasant snack of Arepa with Hogao and lemonade. The journey began in Salento, Quindío, where the group met with the guide to board transportation to the Cocora Valley. This is where the adventure commenced, exploring the man-made attractions with ample time for photographs: the chieftain’s hand, butterfly, jeep, net, nest, Cocora signs, condor wings, and more.

The hike, led by the guide, continued to the mountain viewpoint, with pauses to appreciate and learn about the Cocora Valley and its magnificent wax palm forests through detailed explanations and environmental interpretation, before descending to the transport.

The tour concluded with a drive through various coffee farms, observing the coffee plants and cultural landscapes, until reaching the Buenos Aires farm. Here, participants were greeted with a delightful peasant lunch, followed by dressing in traditional attire to engage in coffee collection, grinding, and other stages of the tour, before returning to Salento, marking the end of the day trip.
