Nice walk of Saligao and surrounding village - As usual these boys do a good job! A mix of history and short walk of beautiful countryside of Saligao…thankfully the weather also helped and Koonan was great. And don’t walk from Calangute church crossing to this church starting point…it’s fairly long :)

The Saligao Experience - beyond spooky land! - It was a beautiful experience, also because we had an amazing guide - Madam Adolfine ! Architecture & local history explains this tour best… it was story telling all the way and it was amazing how well she also knew the locals… Highly recommend! And only thing that was spooooooky was - her story 😂🤣🤣 a small take away, this place is known for its haunted homes & paranormal activities… so might not be the right option for the weak hearted… but not that we had any such experience during the tour ! You might just catch the oldest haunted house of Goa if it’s not pulled down by the time you see it !

A memorable experience - I can't remember when I last enjoyed a walk so much. The walk was led by Adolfina Thamm from Soul Travelling, who is very knowledgeable and brings in 'lesser known' detail as the history, architecture, village lore, and more. She also pointed to the native flora and fauna that I was happy to learn about. The Monsoon rains added to the charm (as the lush landscape) and adventure, and the 'ambassador's' smiling presence was contagious. Standing by the cart at Atala's, grabbing the hot 'Beef chilly fry' bun and sipping the rose-infused tea on a rainy day was the perfect way to end the trail. A very memorable experience for me!

A village walk where we were lost in stories, beauty of nature, heritage & and lot more - Meeting Adolfina on this tour by soul travel was a very different experience than meeting the young enthusiastic boys & girls we met on other tours. She is a storehouse of information & she keeps constantly sharing nuances about every little thing during the walk - some of the most unexpected elements around seem to be abound with stories when she would talk. She speaks softly, is less visually expressive than many others in the profession but her warmth can be felt always, her knowledge of the subject rock solid. Everyone in the village knew her & most people who passed by said hello or spoke a few words. We ended up having a lovely conversation with a gentleman who first said hello to her & then to us. On many instances it became a conversation , instead of a monologue. Absolutely loved the walk - we would have requested to extend it some more but we had to drive to the airport. Look forward to more trips with her in future.

Saligao: A Refreshing Perspective of Goa’s “Jackals” - Adolphina is a warm and knowledgeable guide. I loved how she receieved us and gave us goodies from Soul Travelling. We were encouraged to share a bit about ourselves so that she got to tap into our interests a bit more. She is authentic and passionate about the exchange of sharing. The village is itself full of hidden treasures and comes from a beautiful sense of cultural values. Monsoon rains had blessed our trail with child-like enthusiasm, blast of colour, puddles and flowers. With free flow of conversation, she patiently answered questions, was observant about our interests and provided insights of deep value. Simply loved taking photos with my girls at all these unique spots on the trail. She kindly offered to take them and was super prompt in giving suggestions for food, sightseeing, itinerary and experiences. The lovely trail ended up with snacks and tea and she even got us a taxi as a kind gesture to return to our hotel. This experience didnt feel formal but very friendly and I will surely want to come back to goa for people like her who perserve the essence of this place so artfully. Best wishes and deep gratitude to Adolphina, the founders and team of Soul Travelling for making our trip so memorable.
