Windsor castle and Stonehenge tour - Had a fantastic day with a small group of 17 tourists and our guide Stefan. He was very knowledgeable and spoke very clearly . Our driverMamut? Was a good driver and kept us safe despite lots of traffic. The tour was perfect for my needs and worth the price. Getting to the spot where busies take off was a little nerve racking but I found it. I wish we had done the castle first as it was very crowded by the time we got there( after 1) and the line to see the doll furniture was too long to wait. But the rest of sites and the town of Windsor was great.

Well organized, delightful trip - Everything was fine. Ideal time sharing between Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. Good organisation and information. Many trips have Oxford included, but I would recommend a trip like this, providing you with enough time for both places.

Stonehenge & Windsor - This was a great trip, allowing us plenty of time to see Stonehenge and Windsor. We even had enough time for a few pints in town before we had to head back. The only word of caution is that it was much colder in Stonehenge and Windsor than in London, so we should have also taken some warmer clothes.

Stonehenge and Windsor Castle - Tour company was good, bus broke down but not much they can do about that. This left us with less time at Windsor Castle but it wasn't that they shorted us time, we still had the same amount of time. They pushed the schedule which then left us less time
at Windsor Castle because of opening hours, so we spent the extra time in the town of Windsor.

Very convenient way to see Stonehenge and Windsor Castle - Pros - easiest way to get to Stonehenge. Thankful for the 1/2 day tour option because the full day tour is too much for us. Tour guide was friendly and driver was great. She allowed for quiet time on the trip, which I wish more bus guides would do (not every tour has to be the party bus, lol.). The bus was clean and comfortable, though alittle snug. Easy access to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. Timing at each place was perfect! Didn’t feel rushed at all. Able to eat sandwiches at the Stonehenge cafe.
Cons - if you can’t do steps or hills then talk to the tour operator prior and see your options for getting to Windsor Castle. The bus smelled like a bit of poo, even though there wasn’t a bathroom. Very weird. Temperature was ok, alittle warm for our liking. Though our guide was great, she talked for long strings of time and it’s alittle louder than we would have preferred. That gets to be alittle tiring.
Final Recommendation - if Stonehenge is on your bucket list, then I would say go for it! If Windsor Castle is, then think about taking the train here and back. Buy tickets ahead though. They sold out the day we came. The tour is great for convenience, if that is what you are looking for.

Good enough - It was fine. Our tour guide did a fine job as best possible. My son and I really enjoyed the 1.5 mile walk from the bus park to the structure. The same applies with the castle. It was a memorable day for sure. Thanks

A challenging experience visiting two wonderful places. The transportation was provide-not tours. - As an experienced traveler, I was disappointed with this experience. We received an email the previous evening to download an audio app and to bring our headphones for an audio guide to Stonehenge. JJ was our tour guide. The bus was small and very crowded. We were not given very clear directions about navigating Stonehenge, and we were rushed. It was disorganized. He left us on the bus to get the tickets and walked back to the bus to distribute them. We should have walked with him. We lost a lot of time waiting, and we needed to use restrooms. When we were traveling to Stonehenge, we had to stop twice because of a mechanical issue-buzzing. No explanation was given about the buzzing. After the second stop-the buzzing stopped. When we arrived at Windsor, we were hastily given our tickets and told when to be back at the bus-there were no audio guides offered or suggested. I highly suggest audio-guides provided on a self-guided tour. We visited before, and that was helpful for our navigation of Windsor Castle. We were also rushed to complete this tour. A positive, we had three different choices to be dropped off at the end of the tour.

Feeling left behind - Really not sure about Anderson tours. We spoke with them by email and tried to figure out where the best meeting space would be for our family to go on the 8 hour tour. They decided the best place was Victoria pick up so we arrived 15 min ahead of the time given to us to find out 30 min later they forgot to stop at that location to pick us up. We talked to one of their other tour operators and he called them to find out they did not know to stop. Well after some conversations this other tour operator ran us over to another stop to join our tour. They really need to communicate from the office to the tour operators. We finally left for our two hour journey to Stonehenge and our bus temperature was 29.4 degrees Celsius and we felt like we might pass out or get sick. I mentioned to our guide and she states. Oh it did not feel that warm where I was sitting but yet the bus every min had a digital display that showed the time of day and the temp on the bus. So funny. Every min we were reminded how damn got it was on the bus. So once we complained they adjusted it for the next 1.5 hour trip and now it was 13.5 degrees and we were shivering. How can you not just simply regulate it at an average temp.
When we stopped at a rest stop to grab a coffee and snacks 1 hour into the trip we were given 15 min to walk to the place order and be back on the bus. Unfortunately subway was backed up and held my daughter up about 7-10 min past the allotted time and our tour guide says I guess we will have to leave them here. Who says that to a father with his 15 year old daughter that is already panicked for being late.
I will say that the two locations we did attend Stonehenge and Windsor castle were amazing and really enjoyed the two different experiences. Just might think about another tour company than Anderson tours.

Can't imagine a worse tour experience - Terrible experience with this shambles. They told my visiting family member to arrive for pick up at 9:50 and left him stood there until we got in touch with them to find out the coach left at 8:30. Customer service is non-existent and we spent the rest of the morning arguing over a refund and received no apology. Plenty of other reputable tour companies out there so avoid this one whatever you do.
