- Stonehenge - Stonehenge is the world’s most renowned prehistoric monument and a World Heritage site dating back nearly 5,000 years. This monument has puzzled people since its construction millennia ago. To this day, we remain uncertain about how Stonehenge was built or its purpose. It might have been a temple for the Druids of the Celtic religion, a Bronze Age cemetery, a lunar observatory, or even an astronomical clock. The surrounding landscape is equally intriguing, featuring vast prehistoric monuments stretching over several kilometers, such as the Avenue and the Cursus, massive earthwork enclosures like Durrington Walls and the North Kite, and hundreds of burial mounds.
- The Roman Baths - Here, you can explore the Roman Baths with their natural hot springs, the Pump House, Abbey, Royal Crescent, The Circus, and the beautiful Pulteney Bridge. Today, Bath is a bustling city and a shopper’s paradise, offering everything from antique shops to designer boutiques. Bath is nestled in the rolling countryside of southwest England and is renowned for its natural hot springs and 18th-century Georgian architecture. The town’s architecture extensively features honey-colored Bath stone, including at Bath Abbey, known for its fan vaulting, tower, and large stained-glass windows. The museum at the site of the original Roman-era Baths includes The Great Bath, statues, and a temple.
We always plan the best route to maximize your time at each sightseeing spot you choose. We’ll include some lesser-known landmarks and local secrets that will take you off the beaten path to charm and delight.
