Thanksgiving Preparations in Salt Lake City
As the crisp air of November envelops Salt Lake City, the city buzzes with the excitement of Thanksgiving preparations. The weekend of November 16th and 17th offers a perfect blend of activities to get you into the holiday spirit while providing a cozy escape from the bustling city life.
Start your weekend with a unique experience at the Gin School on November 16th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This immersive course allows you to distill your own gin, offering a hands-on experience that is both educational and entertaining. As you step into the micro lab, you’ll be guided by expert instructors to create a personalized bottle of gin using a diverse selection of botanicals. The intimate setting, with a maximum of six participants, ensures a cozy and fun atmosphere. As one reviewer noted on January 13, 2024:
Highly recommend!! - We had a really great time at the gin class! The class has a max of 6 spots each session so it feels cozy and fun. There were a ton of botanicals to choose from. I was worried I’d get stuck with all my choices, but Chris was awesome and helped me figure out what to add to get the flavor profile I wanted. Everyone in the class made really different choices, and it was fun to see how it came out for each combination. Since you get to customize, you don’t even need to be a big fan of the taste of “traditional” gin to enjoy yourself and make something you will enjoy! As we were distilling, we got to drink gin and tonics (made with their in-house gin offerings– super good) and have some snacks, too! We also learned some fun gin history and science. Overall it was an amazing time. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I’m already planning on bringing family when they next come in to town. Super highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun activity.
This activity not only provides a delightful escape from the chilly weather but also leaves you with a unique souvenir to enjoy during your Thanksgiving celebrations.
