Hill of 14 colors was worth the drive. - The tour was very good. My guide did not speak much English so I only received little bits and pieces of commentary. Fortunately, there was an English-speaking person on the bus with me who would translate certain things which was helpful. We visited several very pretty little towns and it was nice to have some time to walk around the scenery was beautiful. What I didn’t realize is the part going to the 14 colored mountains was a separate excursion only five of us from the tour we’re going on that excursion. The others stayed in town and had lunch and walked around. Five of us crammed into a small car and drove for about an hour on a dirt road to get to Hornicol. Seeing the mountain up close made it a very worthwhile trip. It was truly spectacular. You might get a little hot and dusty, but I think it was worth it.

Different mountains - Very interesting view at over 4000 altitudes. At the Humahuaca bus station there are regular transfers there. If they find you looking European, they'll charge you more. The mountain is really beautiful. How many colors? I don't know! Each advertisement speaks a number.

Jaw dropping vista at 4350m - Jaw dropping vista when the 4WD makes it to the view point at 4350m. The almost geometric colours in the hills are very beautiful! Guide gave great tour, allowing plenty of time for photos and questions. Both drivers (mini bus and 4WD) were very safe and friendly!

Great tour if you don’t have a lot of time in Salta! - We really enjoyed our tour of Hornocal & Humahuaca. Martin was a fantastic guide, who always made sure to cater to us English speakers and give us the full explanations of everything, so we didn't feel like we were missing out on anything. He also explained the many benefits of coca leaves for dealing with the altitude, and helped us buy some at one of the stops as we do go up in elevation on this tour. The guides were very thoughtful about making sure we all felt okay with altitude before moving on. Each stop on the tour had an incredible view, whether it was a natural wonder or a beautiful town, and there was enough time at each to appreciate it. There was still a lot of driving, sometimes an hour or two at a time, so be prepared with water, snacks and soap/wipes (the regional toilets don't always have any paper or soap).

Attractions Zop, Organisation Flop - There is nothing to say about the beauty of the destinations , simply fantastic and wonderful, perhaps too little time at the individual stations, but a lot of time at the sales stands. The ride was very long , 13 hours , the daily organization of the guide is improveable, the driver was just way too fast on the bad roads, the 4x4 off-road vehicle a family - Chevy and the excursion restaurant ... no comment ... gladly again, but only with another V operator

Beautiful scenery - the journey time is long - The sights were impressive. However, the journey in a very cramped, crowded tour bus was too long. We were on the road for 13.5 hours. In the town of the 14 hills, we took a two-hour break for lunch (we were taken to a restaurant that was full of tourists) and for shopping. We would have preferred to be back in Salta after 10 - 11 hours, as described in the tour brochure.
