These are places where you get full of energy - Excellent day beautiful scenery.. Height causes pointing and usually causes headaches, dizziness, nausea. But certain coca candies...mate coca leaves and eat light are guidelines to respect

Nordic organized a wonderful excursion for us, thank you Pablo (tour guide) and Nordic team - Nordic organized a wonderful excursion for us, we really enjoyed it! We left from Salta in the morning, a bus came to pick us up at the hotel at 7am and dropped us off at 6,30pm. Our tour guide Pablo was extremely nice, very knowledgable, very professional but also extremely caring (people sometimes get sick due to the altitude when going to the Salinas Grandes, so he was really looking after all of us). We stoped at a restaurant in Purmamarca for lunch which had a set pre-arranged price for a buffet, the food was good and the price was very fair (which is very appreciated because some tour companies sometimes take you to the more expensive restaurants). Driving around Jujuy, especially when going to the Salinas Grandes can be dangerous (quality of road and altitude sickness), so it is a good idea to do this with a tour operator. Before this excursion, my partner and I rented a car and spent 3 days driving South of Salta to Cafayate (Valles Calchaquies, Quebrada de las Conchas), we usually prefer driving ourselves to have a more intimate experience than joining a group. However, I think this excursion is best done through a tour operator.

A day in Salinas and Purmamarca - In April 2024 we took an excursion with Nordic Travel to Salinas Grandes and Purmamarca. I must recognize the punctuality of both departure and return. At first we had a small misunderstanding with the guide Martín because we were a group of 5 and he had noted that there were 4 of us. Although we went up and then the company recognized that it was their mistake, the treatment towards us at first was not It was very cordial. I highlight the guide's knowledge of the places and also his fluency in speaking English. The places we visited are really beautiful and worth the experience. In Purmamarca the guide suggested we have lunch at "Arte Guanuco restaurant". The place is very nice and pleasant although unfortunately they sell it to you as a "free fork" and once you have paid they tell you that you can only serve it once and the truth is that that's not how a free fork works. Therefore, despite not having a great variety of dishes, it is not enough for you to taste everything because on a single plate you have to place salad, starter and main dish, that is really not very neat. Special paragraph for desserts. The portions are really small and you can't repeat them. They charge you to go to the bathroom. The truth is that the experience was not good at all. I hope they improve because the place is nice and unfortunately it is the place they suggest when you take an excursion and you trust it but the truth is that I would not go again. Purmamarca is beautiful, the artisans' walk, the viewpoint of the "Cerro de los Siete Colores" is beautiful. In general the experience was very good. Greetings.

The best Purmamarca! - I went alone, in Salinas, you don't do anything other than arrive and take your photo. I found Purmamarca much more interesting. The walk through Jujuy is impressive, the stops are very key, the altitude is great. The guide is very good, I don't remember the name. He offered us to take photos with elements he had to take good shots. Very good disposition. The best thing to walk and have lunch in Purmamarca. I recommend it, it's worth it. Beautiful

Nordic I do not recommend - The excursion is terrible! Last year I did the same excursion with another agency and nothing to see. We left Salta very early. We stopped for two minutes to take a photo at two points: Purmamarca and the highest point at 4170 Mts snv. We continued to the salt flat and paid the entrance fee $1500 and $200 to go to the bathroom. We were only there for 40 minutes and no type of explanation. We didn't see the waterholes and actually going there to take a photo seemed like a robbery to me. On the way back we stopped for two hours in Purmamarca and free time. If it weren't for Pablo (the guide) who made him very cool, I would have asked for my money back. We paid $42,000 each. My recommendation is that you do it with other agencies and ask carefully what is included.

Terrible experience - Don't trust this company. We booked this tour one day before and the staff confirmed and we paid. But they couldn't make it on the day we booked and rearranged another day. Finally they cancelled the tour WITHOUT any refund. They said the road is closed so the tour has been cancelled and it's not their responsibility. Does it mean it's the consumer 's responsibility so they take all the tour fees for arranging nothing ?! I wonder if is this normal in Argentina tourism industry? Additional information: Ridiculous attitude of the staff in their shop when we requested the refund. Staff in Customer service must be well trained for good.

Disregard for cancellation policy - We were warned the day before about problems on the access route to large salt flats and that the tour would be suspended. They offered us two tours that we weren't interested in and didn't give us back the money we invested. They said they couldn't return it because it was a force majeure problem. When consulting local news outlets, I learned that the route had been closed for two weeks and the tour was still offered. The minimum would be to give us back the amount invested in the tour, at least partially.
