Salinas Grandes

Salta - Depart from the city of Salta via the central access, taking RN 9 and then entering General Güemes through RN 34. Enter the province of Jujuy to see a part of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, passing through picturesque towns like Yala, Volcán (technical stop), and Purmamarca with its majestic Hill of Seven Colors.

Quebrada de Humahuaca - A brief technical stop for bathroom breaks or snacks.

Purmamarca - First stop in Purmamarca for a panoramic photo from the route, with about 20 minutes to appreciate the changing colors due to the morning sun.

Cuesta de Lipan - Ascend the incredible Cuesta de Lipán to 4,170 meters above sea level, appreciating its spectacular flora and fauna. This winding high mountain road showcases the beautiful landscapes of the puna.

Salinas Grandes - Arrive at the third-largest salt flat in Latin America, with 45 minutes to 1 hour of free time to explore the salt pools, sculptures, salt restaurant, and take stunning photos.

Purmamarca - Return to Purmamarca for 2 free hours to explore the town and have lunch. Enjoy the Hill of Seven Colors, narrow cobbled streets, and adobe and mud houses.

Salta - Return to the city of Salta, crossing the final part of the Quebrada de Humahuaca with technical stops for bathroom breaks or snacks.
