Highlights
  • Farol da Barra - Experience a unique visit to the most significant lighthouse in Brazil’s first capital. Built in 1839 to aid ships in one of the continent’s most crucial ports, this 22-meter high lighthouse has a range of 18 nautical miles in clear weather. You can tour its facilities for just R$ 15.00, not included in the itinerary. It’s also a fantastic spot for sunset views and stunning photos.
  • Dique de Tororo - A vast spring encircled by our renowned orixás.
  • Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova - One of the most iconic World Cup stadiums.
  • Sister Dulce Memorial - The highlight of the tour. Visit our Santa Dulce dos Pobres.
  • Basilica Do Senhor Do Bonfim - The journey begins at Bonfim. Opened in 1669, this church symbolizes the deep tradition and devotion of the Bahian people. It’s also a popular spot for photos with the famous Bonfim ribbons.
  • Elevator Lacerda - Standing at about 63 meters, it was once the world’s tallest elevator. We take it to reach the Pelourinho. This public transport connects the lower and upper parts of the city and offers great photo opportunities from the top.
  • Pelourinho - The perfect place to delve into Brazil’s history. With numerous churches and colonial buildings, Pelourinho is a tourist favorite. The walk involves plenty of sun and time, but we can drive to the main squares if needed for those with mobility issues. Private cars are not allowed on internal streets. We’ll also break for lunch to enjoy delicious Bahian cuisine.
  • Palacio Rio Branco - Explore the incredible Palacio Rio Branco, where Thomé de Souza once governed Brazil.
  • Praca Thome de Souza - This square features several historic buildings, including the Palácio Tomé de Sousa, Rio Palácio Branco, and Salvador City Hall. Don’t miss a photo with the “Salvador” sign and the Lacerda elevator in the background.
  • Praca da Se - A beautiful square filled with historical monuments, most notably the Cruz Caída. The square was created after a cathedral was demolished, and the Fallen Cross commemorates this event.
  • Largo do Pelourinho - Visit the site where Michael Jackson filmed a music video and enjoy a performance by Olodum. Why not take on the challenge of learning to play Olodum’s drums?
  • Sao Francisco Church and Convent - Constructed with materials from Portugal and assembled here, this basilica is a must-see. With numerous busts, a high altar, and a sacristy, the church is a beloved site for Catholics.

It was amazing 😍 - My experience was INCREDIBLE... we had a downtime by withdrawal of a person who would take the ride with me and Samuel quickly managed to fit me into a group so I didn't lose the day and not even the amount already invested. I had all the attention and support he needed. The tour with the Guide Bee was wonderful, he is intelligent, has a lot of reference and valuable information, very attentive and friendly. They made my stay and experience in Salvador more deluded! Thank you guys, for the reception. I will indicate to the friends and no doubt on a next round, I will close other tours.

The best way to see and learn about Salvador, Bahia! - Our guide was very knowledgable and knew detailed the African and multi-cultural history of Salvador. He was also a great photographer allowing us to return with beautiful memories of our time in this incredible city. My husband does not speak Portuguese and his English was on-point. Highly recommended.

Awesome experience! - Samuel is such an amazing tour guide! My husband and I only had a few hours to see Salvador, and Samuel made sure to take us to the most iconic places in Salvador. We got to see and experience the vibe of the city without leaving anything behind. I 100% recommend this tour.

Best choice we had! - I just have to thank you for all the attention, care, patience and joy that both Samuel and Rafael showed me and my parents! Months before the trip planning, deciding, questioning and always willing to respond, indicate and organize the best way for both our days in Morro de São Paulo and in Salvador (transfers, tours, restaurants)! Much gratitude to Citytoursalvadorba, Samuel and Rafael for their professionalism, punctuality and respect! You can be sure that when we return you will have to put up with us again and you will always be recommended and praised! See you next time 🥰🙏🏼🍀👏🏼

Salvador in one day - Ronaldo followed us, a competent and helpful guide with excellent levels of Italian. Clean and comfortable car. He showed us the characteristic places and shops of the city and gave us exciting experiences such as playing percussion. Typical dinner with a good show, rather expensive (300 reals each excluding drinks, it is recommended to negotiate the price). If we return to Bahia, we will request Ronaldo again as a guide
