Top guide for experiencing Senegal! - We had the most amazing time with Senegal Global Tours! I can recommend the company at the highest level. Mamadou and the driver were very insightful, helpful and did way more than was required or paid for. They reflected the true meaning of Senegal's "Teranga" culture of hospitality, humour, sharing and community. We look very forward to coming back again soon. Merci beaucoup!

A must do - This was an amazing experience. First, Omar was an excellent guide. He not only has an acute understanding of history and culture, but he explains it incredibly well. Bandia Park was great. We were able to see all of the animals and we saw some really cool Baobab trees. The Pink Lake was even better. We came on a day where the pink hue really came through and we learned all about harvesting the salt. We then went to lunch where we had a buffet of local food and we were serenaded by a group playing music. Finally, the truck ride through the dunes was thrilling. Riding on the beach with the ocean just feet away was beautiful. We will be recommending this trip to our friends when they visit Senegal. Thank you, Omar.

Great excursion! - Great trip. Our tour guide Oumar took great care of us and waited in the reserve park until we were able to see the white Rhinos. Although the day was long, it was very enjoyable and informative. I would strongly recommend

Wonderful Tour at Bandia and Lac Rose - We had a wonderful experience with Mr. Lamin. The bandia and lac rose tour was fantastic. I had great conversation with the guide as well. He was professional and knowledgeable from start to finish. All activities were enjoyable for my son and I.

Day out from Dakar - Great day out from Dakar. Bandia Safari was beautiful with plentiful wildlife sightings. Diligent guide. Lunch good. Such a shame for the local economy that Lac Rose is no longer pink. Fun ride up and down the dunes and beach though, again with enthusiastic guide. pick upp and drop off from our hotel

Disorganized. But Bandia good for Safari - Bandia Park safari animals were best. Tour driver took too long, with us standing around waiting, from arranged pick up time to leaving time, then again too long hanging around Pink Lake parking lot waiting for 4x4, and other issues (4x4 broke down) such that we never had time for any lunch (nor snacks, nor water), and barely enough time to do 1-hr tour at Bandia. If on a cruise shore excursion with time limits: Skip Pink Lake (not Pink, nor scenic). Spend time at Bandia & have lunch there. Or add something in Dakar to visit. Expect traffic & long drives.

Bandia Park Safair good; Skip the non-pink lake. - First, it was hard to find our specific driver/guide among the many at cruise port, as he didn't have our name on a sign like the other tour operators had. We worked hard to get off our cruise ship right on time (8:15) for an 8:30 confirmed departure time. Driver had us wait at his car for over an hour while he helped organize other SGT tours. Our tour at Pink Lake was not arranged ahead of time so there were no 4x4s available there; we waited again before they finally found an alternative 4x4, but it kept breaking down, stopped for a long time in sand dunes before they could re-start it. Also, the Pink Lake was not pink at all and there is nothing interesting to see there, so not worth the time it involved. We were eager to go to Bandia Park safari, the main attraction of this tour! By the time we got to Bandia, it was getting late, so we had to skip the included Lunch altogether, and had to shorten our safari time considerably. Only had about 1 hr on safari, as the drive from Pink Lake is long and then driving in very heavy traffic back to the Port takes 2 hours, and we made it back just in time before the "all abord" time for passengers before the ship leaves. We wished we had left at 8:30 as promised, gone straight to Bandia for safari, and skipped "Pink" Lake altogether. At the Lake we just saw the salt extraction area, equipment and some salt piles. Driving the very rough sand dunes to the strip of sand at the sea was also a waste of time unless you've never ridden off-road or seen the ocean-- especially frustrating in a vehicle that broke down a few times and you sit, waiting and wondering if you are going to get going again, and if you will ever get to your safari.
