This ideal two-day tour provides an intimate understanding of Dakar city, offering access to the city’s primary landmarks that make it one of the most notable cities in West Africa. We will conclude our first day with a trip to GOREE Island, a significant historical landmark. The SLAVE HOUSE tour offers a glimpse into the heart-wrenching history of African Slaves being led onto ships in chains, pleading for mercy.
On the second day, we will tour the Bandia animal reserve. From the comforts of a safari Jeep, we will spot Rhinos, Giraffes, Zebras, Gazelles, monkeys, and more. The journey provides excellent views of rural lifestyle. I’ll be available to address your queries while pointing out the interesting sights you’re bound to appreciate. Next, we’ll proceed to the Pink Lake where you’ll witness the salt harvesting process - from collection from the lake, transportation in wee boats to the unloading and stacking by women. Take in the scenery of cooking salt heaps.
