- Eagle’s Nest Bus Departure Point - On the journey to the Obersalzberg bus terminal, there will be several picturesque stops. The private guide will provide insights into the historical locations from 1933 to 1945, including the Berghof grounds, bunker entrances, SS barracks, and more. A scale model at the bus terminal will further illustrate the mountain’s layout.
- The Eagle’s Nest - Accompanied by a private guide, visitors will explore the Eagle’s Nest. From the bus terminal, a specially equipped mountain bus will take guests on a thrilling ride up the 4-mile road with a 27% incline to a rocky plateau. From there, a 406ft (124 meter) long tunnel leads to the original WWII brass elevator, which ascends another 406ft through the Kehlstein mountain to the Eagle’s Nest. After the tour, there will be free time to enjoy the views or refreshments.

Begin the day with a tour of the Bavarian Alps and delve into Adolf Hitler’s WWII hideouts, with a visit to the Nazi leader’s mountain-top haven, the Eagle’s Nest. Explore the establishment and its breathtaking panoramic view before descending to Obersalzberg, from where we head to Hallstatt. Travel alongside the jade-green Fuschlsee and pause at its castle; snap a photo from an excellent viewpoint above St Gilgen, the birthplace of Mozart’s mother. You’ll have a 2-hour window to discover Hallstatt, a place that offers the chance to visit all the secluded, yet beautiful spots, as well as the popular attractions; whilst soaking in 7000 years of history. On our return journey to Salzburg, we’ll briefly stop at the Gosausee, with the gleaming Dachstein glacier in the background.
