- Salzburger Altstadt - We leave the city of Salzburg driving south to the German boarder, your private guide will explain you the history of the city of Salzburg and how, for many years, it was a independent principality ruled by the catholic church and the importance of salt and how it influenced the growth of the city. Other points of interest will be explained on route to the next location.
- Eagle’s Nest Bus Departure Point - On our way to Obersalzberg bus terminal we will have a couple of great picture stops. Your private guide will show you where everything was located between 1933 and 1945. Places such as the Berghof grounds, entrance to the bunkers, SS barracks and much more. After giving you a mental picture and spacial orientation of the mountain, a scale model at the bus terminal will help you understand where everything was located.
- The Eagle’s Nest - Visit the Eagle Nest with your private guide. From the Eagle’s Nest bus terminal. You will board a specially equipped mountain bus for a breath-taking ride up the 4 mile road, with its 27% incline to a rocky plateau. From there we will walk through a 406ft (124 meter) long tunnel, leading us directly to the original WWII brass elevator that will transport you up through the heart of the Kehlstein mountain for another 406ft, straight into the Eagle’s Nest itself. After a tour through the Eagle’s Nest, you will have some free time to enjoy the view or have refreshments.
- Berchtesgaden - Descending from Obersalzberg we continue to the beautiful Bavarian mountain town of Berchtesgaden, located in the Koenigssee River valley. You will have time to explore Berchtesgaden on your own before returning to Salzburg

Explore the Eagle’s Nest and the subterranean bunkers in Berchtesgaden within half a day. The journey from Salzburg is perfect for those with a tight schedule, yet eager to tour the key historical locations. Start your day with breathtaking views of the Alps from Hitler´s famous mountain hideaway, the Eagle´s Nest. While descending from the Obersalzberg en route to Berchtesgaden town, witness the locations of the underground bunker systems beneath the mountain, and Adolf Hitler’s former residence, the Berghof. After visiting the Berghof locations, continue to the picturesque mountain hamlet of Berchtesgaden nestled in the Kings Lake River valley. Travel alongside Kings Lake creek on the drive back to Salzburg, ending at your hotel or any preferred location in Salzburg.

Fabulous trip to the Eagle’s Nest! - Luciano was fantastic. We had a beautiful day in the Alps and, thanks to this tour, it was completely stress free as he took care of all the logistics. Luciano moved at just the right pace and provided interesting details and info along the way. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best tour around! - I cannot recommend a better tour or a better tour guide, Carlos! Everything was fantastic from start to finish! While the weather (and elevator) didn’t cooperate, we made the most of it and really enjoyed our time with Carlos! He’s super friendly, knowledgeable, funny… just a super good guy all the way around and will make sure you get your money’s worth. If we are ever around Salzburg again, he will be our go-to guide for sure! Thank you!

Salzburg Private Tours-Carlos-AMAZING GUIDE! - It was a drizzling day with poor visibility which would hinder the vista opportunities of many tours, especially at elevation but this tour was special in other ways.
Carlos was likable from the beginning. His love of Salzburg and the surrounding area was obvious. He had an answer for every question. It was clear in the first hour of the tour that he was very knowledgeable. He conveyed his knowledge with great rhythm and tempo as to easily understand what he was trying to convey…just as a good teacher would.
I would HIGHLY recommend Carlos as a tour guide for all things Salzburg!

Excellent tour of Eagles Nest - We chose a private tour to avoid the buses and herds of people. Luciano, our guide picked us up at our hotel and took us on an adventure. It was a wonderful day. Great views, history lessons, and some details about Salzburg in Hollywood!

Great trip to Eagles Next - Carlos was fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. Weather was not great, but he educated us on history and provided photos via IPad from past to show what things looked like before they were destroyed.
