During the winter months, approximately from November to May 10th, subject to the year’s snow conditions, the direct road to the Eagle’s Nest is shut. However, we offer an alternate visit to the Rossfeld summit. Here, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic vistas of the spectacular Austrian and Bavarian Alps, and the nearby Eagle’s Nest. This destination is also a great alternative to the Eagle’s Nest during the open season if you prefer a less crowded, more authentic locale.
