Such a great tour. While... - Such a great tour. While the daylight was short and many shops closed post holiday, our tour guide did an exceptional job entertaining the group and educating us on the many things we did not know about the musical. Warm up your vocal cords. Lots of singing on the bus ride. A wonderful experience and must do for everyone who is a Sound of Music fan!

A Fab way to spend a Sunday morning - On a damp cold wet Sunday morning what better way to spend it by going on the original Sound of Music Tour of Salzburg. Kylie made sure we yodelled all the way and has enough energy to brighten the dullest of days
She gave context to all the locations in relation to the film and reality. The recreation of 16 going on 17 on the bus was something to behold. The bus driver joined in the jollity which made it a very happy tour we saw the pavilion,abbey, house front and back as there are two different locations for the house. The lake was absolutely frozen
We had a stop in Monsee to see the church and also some excellent apple strudel
An excellent tour I would recommend for any who has seen the film particularly in its 60th year. Only now to return in the summer to see the city with flowers and the monuments unwrapped

We enjoyed our tour and... - We enjoyed our tour and all the sights. Our guide was full of fun information and had a great sense of humor. The sights were great and we enjoyed our time in the town with the church. Disappointed there wasn’t more singing but not a big deal.

Solid tour topped by spectacular views of the surrounding hills of Salzburg - Knowledgeable local guide made all the difference in this tour by sprinkling it with historical trivia and interesting background information. Aside from visiting the places related to the filming of the movie, we also enjoyed the part of the trip that takes you out of town and into the breathtaking hills of Salzburg.

Bucket list tour - This trip was the highlight of my trip to Austria. Salzburg is such a beautiful place and this tour is a must if you are a Sound of music fan. Make sure you book your tickets on line as it quickly sells out, regardless of time of year. There are no USB charging ports on the bus (older bus, should upgrade it) so ensure camera/phone is fully charged. The driver also sells beer and wine on the bus for about 3 euros. The starting point for the tour is an easily identified kiosk with red Sound of Music banner on street corner.
Recommend watching the movie before the tour so you are familiar with all the scenes discussed. Also read Charmaine Carr’s books, Forever Liesel and Letters to Liesel to get some background info of the filming. Bummer that aren’t any souvenir shops in Salzburg selling Sound of Music ornaments or goat herd marionettes so you have to rely on your own photos. Kylee was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide.

Great sound of music tour - Mitch out guide was very entertaining and fun ! We took the 4 hour tour which was very comprehensive . Definitely a must for someone who has been a fan !

A bucket list item on the To Do list in life - LOVED this tour. Highlight of my trip to Austria. Kylee was such a fun hostess and the signing on the bus was a blast. A definite bucket list item for Sound of Music fans.

Tour for BIG Sound of Music fans only - This tour was not for us. We expected some Sound of Music sites and sharing some Salzburg sites as well. There was only Sound of Music site so this was not for us. We left after 2 hours of 4 hour tour.
