12 hour whale watching excursion - The bus ride from the resort was long but worth it. It was a nice coach bus with a short break about midway to quickly stretch your legs and use the restroom. We spent a lot of time in the boat looking for whales but when we finally saw them it was AMAZING! We saw two different pairs of whales breach a couple times. They positioned the boat so each side could see. After whale watching we went to the island where lunch was provided. Chicken, rice, salad, and one beverage. Our excursion did not include the waterfall so we spent the rest of the day on the island. It was one of the most beautiful places I have seen in my life! Note on half the island the chairs are free and the other half they charge. There is a sign indicating which side is which. Tips Bring water, and snacks. Although lunch is provided it’s a LONG day! If your prone to seasickness then take medication. Cons: The bus ride is long and the excursion ended up being over 12 hours. Not a deal breaker for me, but know that is a LONG trip if staying in Punta Cana A few people got sick on the boat. The water was VERY CHOPPY. Lots of people on the island trying to sell you things, or take pictures of you and sell them to you. I wasn’t a fan of that and just wanted to relax, but many people would come up to you while on the beach. Also… we ended up buying the pictures, and they turned out pretty good. Even with the cons this trip is worth it!

Whale watching in Dominican Republic - Wisest travel arranged this trip for us. Unfortunately 2 of our group were ill on the day but wisest travel were very helpful and rescheduled the trip for them. Whales were seen on both trips. The baby humpback whale was with the mother and kept jumping out of the water. Would recommend wisest travel as they were helpful, understandinf and communication was excellent. Thank you.
