In the 4th century B.C., Alexander the Great captured the city, transforming it into a fortified town on the northwestern edge of his empire. Visitors will explore the remnants of this fortified wall. The name “Nur Ata,” meaning “Father of the Ray,” reflects the town’s significance, as it houses the sacred spring “Chashma,” along with a mosque and other historical structures. Following the visit, enjoy lunch at a local chayhana (tea house) before proceeding to the Yurt Camp.
