Tour guide that goes beyond and abive expectations. - Islom was a very good and attentive guide...brought us to some of the best lamb restaurant on our way to Shahrizadz...and later brought us to visit his home and meet his family....a first for us being in a local uzbek home...the famiky entertained us and even prepared awesome filaf dish and fresh fruits fron their farm..was a really nice and pleasant experience. We also met Isloms wife Sitora and his son Usman, as well as parents and his entire family members. We even had the opportunity to meet the newlyweds in Isloms family (Jasmina and Husabnd) and it was nice to see the cultural wedding dress worn by Jasmina which was elegant and splendid. Truly was an experience and the hospitality by the family was very nice.

Great customer service by Babur (Roslan) - Babur (Roslan) was very knowledgeable and courteous. He showed patience and drove the car with safety and precaution, knowing that my spouse had motion sickness. I rate him highly and wish him a successful career as a tour guide.

A well organized Daytrip for anyone interested in the history of Amir Timur - If you have a day extra in Samarkand, I recommend this daytrip. In the morning, Yusufjon greeted us at the hotel, explained the itinerary and introduced us to the driver Axmadjon. Axmadjon then took us through the mountains to Shahrisabz. The road itself is quite nice, because it follows a river and passes a few small forests and nature reserves. On the route, we stopped at the tekish tosh boulders, at a market on top of the mountains (with lots of katik) and a nice viewpoint. Axmadjon was very friendly and communicated with us using some English and mostly Google translate, which worked well. We could have added more stops, if we had asked to. In Schahrisabz we were then greeted by Faruza, our guide for the day. She is also very friendly and spoke excellent English and explained to us the history of the city and Amir Timur. We visited the remains of the Ak Saray Palace (with an excellent and extensive explanation by Faruza), then we visited the shop of a painter who also had a model of the palace and added a bit of information to the history of Amir Timur and Ulug Beg. From there on we went to Kok Gumbaz Mosque, Kulyal Mausoleum, Dorut Tivolat and obviously also the Amir Timur Statue. Everything is close to a large green park. Afterwards, we were picked up and driven back to our Hotel. We could have added a stop for lunch or dinner, but since we were a bit tired, we decided to skip lunch/dinner stops. We are very happy that we booked this tour, since it was a really nice experience. Some friends of us had visited Schahrisabz earlier independently and tried to find a guide spontaneously themselves, but that didn't work so well. Therefore, we are happy that we booked this prearranged tour instead.

The trip was nice... - The trip was nice overall. Very beautiful and informative. The only minus was that our driver did not speak English at all. Even though, teoretically he should. I think that our driver had an issue and he sent his brother. A very nice person, but the communication was a bit hard.
