Gur Emir Mausoleum - The Gur Emir Mausoleum is a medieval structure with a gilded interior, built for the great Tamerlane and his male descendants.
Bibi Khanym Mosque - The Bibi Khanym Mosque is the largest mosque in Central Asia, including Iran. It was constructed by Tamerlane’s beloved wife to commemorate his victory over India.
Siab Bazaar - Siyab is an Oriental bazaar offering spices, fresh and dried fruits, and the famous Samarkand bread.
Hazrat Khizr Mosque - This is the first mosque of Samarkand, where the first President of the Republic was buried.
Shah-i-Zinda - This complex includes about 20 mausoleums, including the female tombs of Tamerlane’s family. It is the only place in Central Asia where a relative of the prophet is buried.
Ulugh Beg Observatory - Built by Ulughbek, the grandson of Tamerlane, this observatory was led by Ulughbek, the only astronomer in the Islamic world who was also an empire head.
Afrasiyab Museum - The only museum in Uzbekistan preserving frescoes from the pre-Arabic period of Central Asia (7th century A.C.).
Tourist village - Konigil - The Samarkand Paper Mill in Konigil showcases the unique traditional method of producing paper from mulberry trees. Additionally, you can learn about the production of sesame oil, cotton, linseed oil, and melon seed oil here.
