Samarkand day trip from Tashkent - The Samarkand day trip from Tashkent was very good and thorough. It included all of the most famous historic sights. The guide and driver were always punctual. They guide was well versed on all of the sights and was very proficient in English. The driver was always nearby when it was time to change venues and navigated to all destinations with ease. My advice to any would be travelers, would be to reserve as far ahead as you are able. The special fast train seems to be quite popular and we were unable to take it as all tickets had been sold out. The faster train will save you 3 hours in travel time. Most of all, I do not recommend going by car. The drive is long and the highway is busy. It can be quite harrowing at times.
