“A great way to visit Samarkand - This was a great one day tour of Samarkand’s sights for our family. We were picked up at our AirBnB apartment in Tashkent and escorted to the train station for the two hour train ride. At the station in Samarkand we met our guide for the day and he drove us to each of the wonderful locations to see in the city. He was a fountain of historical knowledge of city and each of the sights we visited during the day. We also had time for lunch consisting of some of the best Plov we’ve ever had. He said it was a Samarkand Plov. At the end of the day, we returned to Tashkent and were escorted back to our apartment. I would highly recommend this tour if you have an extra day(or plan the day) during you stay in Tashkent. It was one of the highlights of our trip while we were passing through the region on our way to Kazakhstan. Having a personal guide for the day was so very nice, because we felt we learned so much more than a group tour and Ventura Tours were very communicative and timely. Choose this tour and have a great time in Samarkand!” - Reviewed at 2024-08-19
