Samburu National Reserve - Pickup from Nairobi airport or hotel. Travel through Kenya’s central highlands, passing coffee, tea, sisal, pineapple farms, and local subsistence farming. The red-soiled slopes are dotted with traditional African homesteads.
View Mount Kenya’s snow-capped peaks along the way. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Samburu, Shaba, and Buffalo Springs reserves. Overnight at your Samburu safari lodge or tented camp.
SAMBURU
Samburu National Reserve - Spend the day on game drives or relaxing at the Samburu game reserve. Wildlife is concentrated along the Ewaso Nyiro river in this dry, scenic reserve. Overnight at your Samburu luxury lodge or tented camp.
Samburu – Lake Nakuru – (250 km – Approx. 4-5 hrs)
Lake Nakuru - Early morning game and scenery drive as you leave Samburu. Stop to view Thompson Falls at Nyahururu. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, a birdwatcher’s paradise in the Great Rift Valley. Spot flamingos, pelicans, and other bird species. The park is also home to black and white rhinos, warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and more. Overnight at your Lake Nakuru safari lodge or tented camp.
Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara (300 km – Approx. 6 hrs.)
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Early morning bird and game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. Continue to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive. Overnight at your Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp.
Full Day – Masai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara, the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the world. The reserve hosts the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals in the region. The tree-studded savannah plains, moderate climate, and diverse wildlife make it ideal for game viewing. Traverse the reserve to encounter the Big Five and other wildlife. Visit the Mara River to see hippos, crocodiles, or the great migration (July – October). Overnight at your Masai Mara safari lodge or tented camp.
Masai Mara – Nairobi (265km – Approx. 5-6hrs)
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Early pre-breakfast game drive. Enjoy a final game drive as you leave the Masai Mara. Depart for Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. Safari ends at approximately 4:30 PM.
