Filiatro is the closest beach to Vathy, the capital of Ithaca. Swim in the warm, shallow crystalline waters. -
Vathy - Explore Vathy, the capital and the main harbour of Ithaca since the 16th century. The picturesque village, the largest of the island is built amphitheatrically around a deep and sheltered bay with a narrow entrance.
A wide variety of taverns and cafes are lining the waterside. - Lazareto - Continue with a photostop at Lazaretto, a beautiful, small island situated in the bay of Vathy. It is covered with pine trees and has only one erected building: the chapel of the Transfiguration of the Savior. During Venetian rule, it served as a quarantine station for ships, passengers, crew and goods entering Vathy harbour.
- Gidaki beach - Gidaki beach is an attractive and isolated beach accessed only by boat from the port of Vathy. Discover the exotic beach, backed by white cliffs topped with verdant vegetation and see the colors of the water range from deep blue to green. This is the perfect location for swimming and sunning yourself.
- Port of Sami - Sail back to Sami Port. Arrival time 16:00 pm.

Amazing sea cruise and swim stops along the way - This trip was absolutely amazing. Friendly staff, great traditional food and fabulous swim stops. A must if you are staying in Sami. We went on the TUI premium adventure which was awful compared to this. Great value for money with plenty of time at the 3 swim stops and time for a wander around the island port. A totally relaxing day. Don't miss out on this boat scenic adventure

Wonderful experience - We spent a wonderful day crusing towards Ithaka, swimming in amazing turquoise waters and walking through the picturesque town of Vathy. The boat was charming and the crew was amazing, extremely nice and polite! Absolutely a must if you visit this part of Kefalonia.

Happy Sailing! - This is the boat to go to Ithaca on. Great swim stops, food and drinks served, the crew are brilliant and very attentive. Our day was cut a little short due to poor weather, but they dropped the price for us can’t complain.

Zaharatos day cruise from Sami to Ithaca was excellent - We chose a day cruise to Ithaca with Zaharatos cruises and it was fabulous. The crew on the boat were friendly and attentive. We had two swim stops on the way to Vathy which were great and one on the way back. Vathy is an attractive small town with some lovely shops,cafes and restaurants. We had free refreshments on the boat following the swim stops which were most welcome. A good day out and very well with it.
