Our tour was carefully curated and will take you on a journey through the backstreets of Bangkok, mopping up a 15+ taster menu in street spots and eateries that have been serving locals for decades. We’ll meet at Yaowarat to discover the rich Thai-Chinese culinary marriage that make this district one of the city’s most buzzing street food spots. It’s not just about the food though. It’s about the people behind the plates who have dedicated their lives to cooking on the street.

Backstreets Back with Annie's delicious tour - If you are a foodie and ready for an authentic experience then this tour is for you. Our extraordinary tour guide Annie and her assistant Mikey were incredible. We are both adventurous with food and travels so when we came across this tour it appealed to us with both walking the laneways of Chinatown sampling Michelin Star foods and authentic family foods. Annie was knowledgeable about every dish and made the tour fun, engaging every single participant on the tour. We experienced over 18 dishes over the 4 hour period. We loved every dish, so much so that we went back later in the week to have a second tasting. Every single participant was well looked after with not an inch of room for any more food. Everything was a highlight of the evening. This tour was the highlight of our trip.

Annie was fantastic - highly recommended - My family and I (myself, husband, daughter 19yo, son 17yo and sister 50yo) all did the Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour mid-December and we had a fantastic time! We booked online in advance from Australia a few weeks before travelling to Bangkok. We were a little late to the meeting point - damn you Bangkok traffic - but this did not faze the welcoming team at all. Our confident, English-speaking guide Annie was incredible! She guided us expertly to all the different food stops including giving a full history of the chef, venue, dishes and ingredients. We had a number of food intolerances and dietary restrictions which were all accommodated for without a blink of an eye. Nothing was too much trouble. There was more than enough to eat for everyone, water/wipes/hand sanitiser all supplied. Annie even bargained with the tuk tuk drivers at the end to get us a good lift back to our hotel. The food was incredible and interesting and we would not have discovered it on our own. The tour was professional, well thought out, ran smoothly and efficiently. Great value for money and would highly recommend. Do yourself a favour and book this tour and discover some delicious hidden gems in Chinatown!

One of the best experience in Bangkok - This is our second Chef's Tour in Bangkok and this time we did the Chinatown Backstreets food tour. Our foodie guide was Annie who was really one of the best tour guides and explains each mean/food with much details and made it very interesting for us to try all of the foods. The tour was fun and exciting and nothing to worry about as they have an assistant (Milly?) who went ahead of us to reserve tables and order food for us in advance.
It's a great experience everyone should try!

Trip Highlight!! - We received this as a gift, and it was easily a highlight of our time in Thailand. We had Johnny as our guide, and got to see parts of Bangkok we never would otherwise. Food a 10/10 and was impressively ready for us at each stop. Really would recommend!

Fantastic food tour through Chinatown - This tour was very well organized. No notes there. You get a tour guide - ours was excellent, and a "food wrangler" ... she made sure we got seats/food as soon as we got to the next place. It's a super vibrant and chaotic area, so that was important. There were a few challenging dishes along the way, but nothing that pushed the boundaries. Very informative as well. Really one of the best food tours we have done. Definitely recommend!

Great team! Great tour! Great service. Fully recommended. - We have had a great food tour with this company both in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. You get to places that at least we as tourists would never find. We have booked the day tours. Do not eat breakfast. There is sooooo much to eat and everything is delicious. In BKK we were travelling by tukTuk, water taxi, public bus and a lot on foot. This is where we really made track. Watch out. Can be exhausting for small children. We had 2 teens (11 and 14) in the group, they did everything great and ate everything.
In CM, the tour is more relaxed. Everything with a “tukTuk / bus area” only for the respective group.
All guides are very nice and speak very good English. Fully recommended.

Absolutely Perfect: Great Food, Fun Guide, and So Much Variety - Wanting to try as much food as possible while in Bangkok, we could not have picked a better way to do it. This tour was PERFECT:
- We tried so many different dishes (many of which we never would have found or known to try on our own)
- The food was DELICIOUS
- Our guide was funny, thoughtful, and so knowledgeable.
- My wife does not eat beef or pork and our guides accommodated her at so many places.
This was a highlight of our trip and cannot wait to take another tour with the company.

Absolutely worth it. - This is an amazing tour. Highly recommend this to anyone. Such a great selection of food and the guides help with children and those who can't eat as spicy foods. We could never have had this experience just trying to do it ourselves, without huge lines and missing the best places. Absolutely worth it.
