A great day out - It was lovely to walk around town and enjoy the peaceful streets and to see the the incredible work of the local artisans. The chocolate shop is worth a visit too. The atmosphere at the estancia is very relaxed and welcoming. We were able to sit in the shade of a tree and enjoy our drinks. The food was amazing and plentiful. We also enjoyed the post lunch singing, dancing and show of horsemanship. It was a great day out.

A great day in San Antonio de Areco - We had a great day visiting San Antonio de Areco with our local guide Facundo del Bianco. He showed us around the pretty town — taking us to the cathedral, a fabulous silver museum and workshop, and a great little restaurant — before we had a tour of a nearby ranch. There, we learned about farming practices in the Pampas region, which was very interesting. Facundo is a friendly and knowledgeable guide and made our day go very smoothly. We highly recommend him.

Beautiful Escape into the Pampas - My family had a wonderful time exploring San Antonio de Areco with Laura, who was so knowledgeable and funny! She knew everyone in town and shared facts and anecdotes that interested me, my husband (a history buff) and our 10-year-old son! Then the highlight was the visit to the estancia. We loved the horseback ride, the food was delicious (and endless!) and live music and dancing topped off the day! Beautiful part of the region and a must do to see the pampas!

Highly recommend - Myself and 2 friends did this experience and had an amazing time! I’d highly recommend this experience for anyone staying in Buenos Aires who wants to see a more traditional side of Argentine culture and also get out of the city for a day - the atmosphere out there is very peaceful! It was really cool to visit the town of San Antonio de Areco and also the estancia, this experience involved many different scenes - silver scene, chocolate scene, horse riding/whispering, food and music/dancing, as well as private chauffeur there and back. Our guide Facundo was excellent, he was easy to get on with and had the answers for every question we asked. Also worth mentioning I was walking on crutches when I did this experience but they were very accommodating, letting me go at my own pace and giving me a carriage tour of the ranch.

Magical - It was magical. The trip to the Estancia can be described no other way. The food was so good, the staff were amazing, and the horses were awesome. Our gaucho was Brian and his connection and love for the horses was apparent in every touch. Our tour guide was so open, and shared so much more than the history of this area. We really enjoyed her company. San Antonio de Areco was such a quaint little town. The Silvery Museum was absolutely beautiful in the craftsmanship. The chocolate shop was to to die for--so GOOD. Overall an amazing day.

An Argentine, Brit and an American - Three of us took the tour. The entire tour was fun, educational and the Asado was fantastic. I would highly recommend this tour. The value of it being a private tour was well worth the cost. Julieta was a very good guide. And the banter was fun. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Best Day of our Trip! - Our day in San Antonio de Areco and at the estancia was our favorite day of our entire two-week trip. The drive was very comfortable and well worth the time. Julietta was an excellent guide and you could tell that she has very strong relationships with the family and Gaucos at El Ombu. We learned so much about the full Gaucho culture, had a wonderful meal, and thoroughly enjoyed this day. Thank you!
