Michael with Pro Tours cannot be topped! - Timely, communicative, with a fabulous personality, Michael taught us the history each location we visited. We thoroughly enjoyed visits to the missions, tea garden, the Pearl and the Market. I wished we had time to go on more excursions! Worth every penny!

Fantastic from start to finish - Absolutely fenomenal. Literally white glove service from start to finish. Great conversation, and we learned a lot. Give Michael a call and he can also provide concierge services as well, which were right on. My wife had the best time for our one year wedding anniversary with all the secret planning we did ahead of time. Will be back in a couple years once the Alamo restoration is complete. Highly recommended!

What an absolutely amazing day! - My husband and I have booked many tours, some US, most international and this was one of the best ever. So personal, so historically thorough and immersive. We learned, we laughed, we got teary eyed and we came away loving San Antonio and ready to bring others with us next time. Thank You Michael!

San Antonio yesterday, today and tomorrow. - We're fairly well traveled, better than some and less than others. Anyways, my wife and I have enjoyed quite a few private tours while traveled. Michael provided one of the most interesting and insightful tours we've experienced. He provided the right mix of history and background of the Missions, immigrants, industries, and people who've helped shape the past and present of San Antonio and a nice glimpse of where she's going. Incredible tour, incredible town! Thanks Michael!

A+ Concierge Service - We just returned from our first, but hopefully not last, trip to San Antonio. I can’t adequately express how much fun my husband and I had with Michael during our few days together and how helpful he was with all aspects of our vacation. Everything, from our pickup at the airport to the missions tour, wine country tour, second half day tour and food tour was spot on. A perfect mixture of history, local flavor (coffee! Tacos! Gelato!) and fun. With the concierge service we also had the benefit of dinner recommendations and reservations. This took all of the guesswork out and allowed us to just sit back and enjoy. Michael has a wonderful ability to make others feel comfortable. He was very easy to talk to and adapted plans based on our interests as we went. I would highly recommend Protours, especially the concierge service, to anyone visiting the area.

Explore 3 centuries in half a day while being entertained. - Michael’s tour of the old missions, history of the build up of the San Antonio area and the redevelopment of the city covered 3 centuries of incredibly interesting stories. We were amazed at his amount of knowledge and the way he connected everything into an easily understood timeline that covered everything from the Moorish architecture of the Spanish churches to the great mansions in the city itself. If you want to be enthralled and entertained for a half day, and come away with detailed knowledge of how this city developed, you must book this tour.

Very nice experience - Very interesting visit to the Missions which gave birth to San Antonio, carried out in chronological order, very well detailed by Mickael, history professor. The tour also included some points of interest in the modern city of San Antonio. Mickael is punctual, courteous, considerate, attentive. The drive is perfect in a very comfortable car.

Fantastic tour and even better tour guide - The missions and more tour was fantastic. Our family of 4 (kids 10 & 12) enjoyed each different aspect of the tour from the historical mission visits, the beautiful mansions, the market and the new trendy retail and restaurant area. It must be difficult to give out-of-towners an understanding of the history of a city from the beginning to modern times, but Michael does it effortlessly, with plenty of humor, and delivers it all with a high quality, VIP feel. This is not the kind of tour where you wonder how much of the spiel is fictional—Michael has clearly done his homework and is extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Informative and Entertaining Tour of the Missions - Michael was recommended by Michelle from Hotel Emma and we were not disappointed. Not only did he take us to the missions and other places worth visiting, he explained how the missions came to exist and how San Antonio became what it is today in an easy to understand manner. As he used to be a history teacher and a stand up comic, he was able to explain a long winded history in an entertaining manner so it helped us remember and put a picture in our heads of how life was back then. We came out of the tour learning so much yet not feeling so tired or overloaded with too much information.
