This Tour Is A Must - This was a wonderful tour. I knew a little bit about the Palenque people and was keen to learn more, that I certainly did. The history and culture of this place is awe inspiring, everyone who can should take time when visiting Cartagena to visit. Victor our guide, made the day extremely interesting and gave us a real insight into history, culture and spirit of the Palenque people. The young dancers we saw were joyful and extraordinarily talented, as was the lady who cooked local sweets for us. Thank you Victor for a truly enjoyable and enlightening day.

Palanque Tour is a must do! - Roiman and Leonardo were the perfect guides for an amazingly authentic experience. I thought I was in an African village. And I learned so much about the African experience in Colombia.

10/10 Recommend - I'd been to Palenque before, but I'm so glad I booked this tour because I was able to see so much more. Sophia was amazing and as always Palenque feels like home away from home. I suggest good walking shoes and a fan because it's hot, but other than that it's such a good experience. Bring money to support the Palenqueros ✊🏾 Ato Uto Bega

Wonderful Tour - This tour was really great! Our guide, Sofia, was amazing and clearly loved her culture and community. Also, the lunch served at the end of the tour was the best fish I had while in Colombia. Very delicious.

Amazing experience with guide Sofia - I found the historical knowledge of Ms Sofia very impressive. It was also nice to visit ms. Ruperta at her home where she showed us how she cultivates the land and makes sweet treats. The boxing lesson was also great and the food was incredible🤗

Palenque: A Must-Do in Colombia - This six hour experience was exactly as advertised. My wife and I booked this tour of the historic village of Palenque originally out of curiosity into our siblings of the Colombian variety. Victor, who was our tour guide for this adventure, started the tour with an oral history of rich tradition stemming from slavery to the village's push for independence from Spanish colonialism. We were given breakfast (a fruit salad full of mangoes, papaya, and bananas) but we were able to briefly stop before our trek to Palenque for breakfast smoothies (every guide and driver may not be as willing so again, shout out to our brother Victor). We tasted coconut candies made by a woman who has been in the business for more than 40 years; it was like visiting a grandma who made these delicacies out of love. My wife and I were fully immersed in the culture throughout the entire day, learning key phrases, dancing with the drums, boxing where Kid Pambele once trained, and finishing off our day with fish, plantain, and avocado salad. We also were able to support the local businesses by getting [reasonably priced!] souvenirs at the end of the tour. I could go on and on about this experience, but please know that you cannot stop through Cartagena without visiting Palenque. This was about as authentic as tours go and for what you do, it is totally worth the price tag.

Best Tour to Palenque - Victor was an amazing tour guide. The history, the culture, the overall experience was unmatched. And OMG don't get me started on the food. I would go back just for the lunch. Be prepared to walk a lot and bring plenty of local currency for tips and gifts. It rained, but Victor and his team provided umbrellas. That attentiveness and consideration was so appreciated.
