• Arenal Canopy Adventure (Athica) - Embark on an exhilarating journey that begins with a brief 30-minute commute from La Fortuna to our zipline location, Arenal Canopy Adventure. Upon arrival, our seasoned zipline instructors will greet you, assist with your equipment, and conduct a safety orientation. We’ll then ascend to the initial platform, standing at 25 meters (80 feet) high, to commence our adventure across 8 cables spanning 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) amidst the verdant rainforest.\nOur zipline route features 13 platforms, with 4 integrated into massive trees using a unique anchoring technique that safeguards the trees’ growth. The cables vary in elevation from 20 meters (65 feet) to 90 meters (300 feet) and in length from 70 meters (230 feet) to 600 meters (1970 feet), enabling speeds up to 56 km/h (35 mph). Each cable offers a unique view and experience, soaring over gorges, mountainsides, agricultural lands, and dense rainforests.

Although the experience may sound a little risky, you can be set at ease knowing that you will have the assistance of two expert guides at every cable; one which will safely connect you to the cable and watch for the safety of the others waiting their turn, and the other to help in braking and in disconnecting you from the cable once you arrive at the platform. In addition, our cable and braking systems as well as our safety protocols are constantly reviewed to assure the safety of our guests, allowing you to feel comfortable and in control at all times. Each platform provides amazing views of the tree canopies of different ecosystems and unique angles for magnificent photographs.
