- Arenal Volcano - Let’s enter one of the most famous forests in Costa Rica and the world, the tropical rain forest at the foot of 2 volcanoes, the Arenal Volcano and the Cerro Chato Volcano. Our experience will take you to know the history of how our country was formed, the volcanoes in our area, the climate of our area and the observation of the local flora and fauna among which birds such as toucans, tanagers, hummingbirds and parrots stand out. some amphibians and reptiles such as glass frogs, tree frogs, rain frogs and toads such as the humid forest toad or the great giant toad, snakes such as corals, vipers such as the bocaracá, stone hand or the famous velvet, mammals such as coatis, armadillos, opossums, howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys and squirrel monkeys, a wide variety of plants such as orchids, bromeliads, ferns, mosses and flowering plants.

This activity will take you to know the wonderful nocturnal secrets of the tropical rainforest accompanied by a Naturalist Guide. We will visit the trails of one of the best areas of La Fortuna to observe the local flora and fauna at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, Senderos and Mirador El Silencio. We will enter the forest in search of the hourglass frog, the Blue Jeans frog, the largest frog in the country, the “Chicken Eater Frog” and the most beautiful in Costa Rica, the red-eyed tree frog. Also in this place it is possible to observe some species of leaf insects, stick insects, snakes, such as the eyelash viper, snails, Velveteens, the Stone Hand Viper and coral snakes, some mammals such as sloths, opossums and anteaters.

A great experience to see animals at night - We were able to see many types of frogs, monkeys, plants, and a couple snakes. The guides were very knowledgeable and had a keen eye for spotting animals during the night for us to see.

Costa Rican Night Tour - This was an awsome experience! My husband and son (5) went with me we saw lots of frogs,snakes,birds, ants, toads and spiders. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The most memorable part of this walk was when the tour guide had us all turn the flashlights off mid walk. Pitch black like nothing I've ever experienced.

Great nighttime activity - Kai was amazing at helping us find the smallest of critters during the walk. Our small group included 4 people who spoke 2 different languages, and Kai succeeded in including us all in the experience.

Definitely recommend! - Kai was a great guide! We really enjoyed our walk through the rainforest at night. We saw a scorpion, an eyelash viper, tarantulas, a chicken eater frog, and lots of frogs and cool bugs!

Amazing! - We were picked up at hotel and our guide, Gabriel was very knowlagable and friendly. We had a facinating tour. We saw snakes, spiders, frogs and learned a lot. Thank you Gabriel!!!

Great introductory experience - We went on our first day in La Fortuna and it was a great introductory experience in the rainforest! Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour provides flashlights because it was an evening hike and we saw mainly insects, frogs/toads. Would recommend to wear bug spray - will help with mosquitos/bugs at night time.

Frogs galore - Super fun experience and a great way to see a lot of the nature of Costa Rica that we never could have spotted on our own. Kai was our guide and did a great job sharing information about the critters we came across. If you love frogs this tour is for you!

OK Night Time Tour - The tour was ok and we got to see many frogs at the end. The walk was a hike down the hill with traversing of some down trees. We mostly saw spiders and bugs along the trail, but the frog habitat and lighting bugs at the end were cool. The trip would have been just as good if we just did the last 5 percent of the hike.
