Brandon was fantastic!... - Brandon was fantastic! The tour is great. We got to experience the jungle at night, with all its sounds. We saw plenty of different type of frogs, beetles that glow, a snake etc... brandon helped us taking photos with our phones (he takes great shots). Would recommend as long as the group is small. We were 9, and it was enough.

Amazing experience - This was the first tour my daughter and I took in Costa Rica, and it was amazing. Tony was an incredible guide: spotting and identifying frogs, birds, spiders, and snakes all while teaching us about the rainforest around us. He also took incredible pictures to share with us!

What a wonderful experience:: book it! - Absolutely fantastic. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our guide, Jorge, was. He was so knowledgeable, patient, funny, and helpful. Our group was also awesome and comprised of people from many countries. I travel as much as my budget and time allow, and this has to be one of the best excursions I've taken anywhere. We say many animals, as some laughs, and learned a lot. Tonight was perfect and my heart is full. I'm so grateful.

Wonderful night at the volcano - Brandon Cruz is an exceptional guide. He has a deep knowledge of the area and is a very capable interlocutor. We have done nature tours around the world since 2004 , Borneo, Australia west coast, sierra leone, thailand, malasia, southern angola, ... but this was a very special night.
Obrigado Brandon.

Fantastic Experience - We had an amazing time on this tour! Our guide, Brandon, was terrific and pointed out spiders, headlight beetles, a tarantula, scorpions, an eyelash viper, and best of all red-eye tree frogs. We would have never seen any of these things without his expert skills.
Brandon also explained how Costa Rica was created and explained the seismic activity that is still prevalent today. Overall it was a fantastic experience!

Amazing experience - The rainforest at night is a incredible experience. The animals were fairly quiet the night we went and we still enjoyed it.

Abandoned 61 year old woman after tour - accidently - This interesting, not too spooky, night tour on March 30 went very well, starting with timely pickup at hotel in La Fortuna, with enthusiastic guide Napean. Emphasized before and throughout tour are the dangers of going off the path, due to poisonous snakes, spiders, etc you may not see in the total darkness (everyone equipped with a flashlight). A bathroom use is suggested before commencing trip, as not allowed to use pathways for it during the approx. 1.5 hour walking tour. Following the tour, bathroom use is suggested prior to boarding bus for 45 minute return to La Fortuna. This 61 year old female took up the suggestion. While in the bathroom, the power went out...no problem I still had my own flashlight to finish up. THEN, I heard the sound of a van door closing and a vehicle driving away. I hurried up, grabbed my backpack and ran down the road yelling and chasing the bus down a gravel road in the jungle darkness. They did not stop. During the final half hour of the night tour, my cell phone went dead (had been using Google Maps all day), although I had it plugged into a backup battery pack... I discovered the little flashlight on the battery pack was ON the whole time in my backpack, so it used all the power. Normally this would not be a problem... unless you get abandoned and really need your cell phone! I had rented a car for this vacation, my first to Costa Rica, but chose the tour bus because of driving in the night. When the tour bus picked me up I did not look out the window enough to notice which roads we took to get to the Tour starting point. After being abandoned and ran to the main road, I didn't know whether to go left or right. I chose right, and decided I would keep running down the road, through the darkness with my flashlight, high jungle surrounding me and all their night sounds, of which I'd just been educated on some of them. This was a Sunday night. Eventually I heard a vehicle coming from far. I prayed for good people, fearing the opposite was possible. My plan was if the vehicle stopped, I would simply ask for directions to the next town. Turns out this was an amazing, wonderful Costa Rican family, enroute to their home following a visit in La Fortuna. They drove me, completely out of their way, all the way back to La Fortuna, with their sleepy five year old. The dad, Eduardo, spoke excellent English as he runs an Airbnb in Arenal area (Parrot Hill Ranch Arenal Rainforest). They made me feel very safe again. Back at my La Fortuna hotel, as soon as my phone charged enough, I contacted the tour company. They had tried to call me once they discovered I wasn't there, when they dropped off other passengers. After no replies from me, they drove back to the Tour starting point to look for me. If I had taken the chance they'd come back for me, I would have waited approx. 2 hours alone at night in rainforest jungle. Two key points I wish to pass on to you reading this: Tour company refunded my fee at my request, apologized, and did take responsibility for not counting passengers upon departure, even taking extra step to return to look for me. Use them because they won’t make this same mistake. Second, ALWAYS be fully prepared for something to fail on a tour you are 100% dependent on. I was prepared with extra battery pack, my misfortune was the silly tiny flashlight stayed on. Invest in an excellent rapid backup charger, plus whatever else it takes, especially when you are travelling solo.
