Peaceful float down river with sloth, monkeys and birds - Our guide was great! He spoke both English and Spanish and the snack of yucca bread, banana bread, plantains, homemade cheese, and juice was terrific light dinner at the end.

Amazing animal watching experience! - This excursion was one of the highlights of my trip to La Fortuna. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the plants and animals, and he worked very hard to help us see many different things. I also loved seeing the bats come out at night! I highly recommend this trip as a way to see many of the Costa Rican animals.

Adventurous yet approachable boat tour- a real life jungle cruise experience! - This was an experience that is adventurous, but not very physically demanding (which was a nice reprieve from some of the fun but strenuous excursions we did also while in Costa Rica). Our raft guide Brian was great, very enthusiastic and knowledgable about the animals and plants along the river. We were able to see a group of howler monkeys, a toucan, several egrets and kingfisher birds, bats, and a cayman (a smaller version of a crocodile), and this honestly exceeded my expectations! It was nice to have a variety of snacks (yuca bread, banana bread, plantains, and juices) afterwards at a small restaurant before heading back into town. Would recommend Flow Trips and this twilight float in particular!

So Much Wildlife! - Mauricio was our guide and he was absolutely AMAZING! They were prompt with pick up, the drive out was very informative. When we arrived he immediately pointed out a baby sloth in a tree before we even got our raft in the water! We saw many birds, a porcupine, sloth, so many howler monkeys, bats roosting and actively flying, lizards and the icing on the cake was seeing the most adorable river otter give us the cutest show followed by a HUGE American Crocodile all just feet from our raft! The snacks that followed were delicious! My family had an amazing time! I would definitely recommend this tour!!!

Fantastic Tour - I absolutely loved this tour. We floated down the river and saw many animals including monkeys, inguanas, bats, birds and a sloth or 2. The operator’s were great and our guide was really passionate about the nature and animals. He not only spoke about the animals, plants and the area but also allowed several quiet moments to just take it all in. The snacks at end were delicious too. I highly recommend this tour!

Great guides, nice experience - Our family of 4 really enjoyed this tour. The guides were all exceptional; punctual, knowledgeable, and engaging. We saw plenty of wildlife and the jungle scenery was beautiful. It was quite cool to be in the river that time of day into dusk.

Great easy going tour - If your looking for something low key, easy, that doesnt take up the whole day this is a perfect tour. Guide worked very hard to show us as much as possible and was very knowledgeable, answering any questions we had. Snacks at the end were great also and gave us time to meet fellow travelers before heading back. We saw monkeys, various birds, and a cayman!

Also called La Fortuna: Guided Twilight Wildlife Safari - Wow, this is so great! Our guide was Bryan and he has a gift. Such a cheerful guy, too. We saw howler monkeys, lots of birds including toucans and an owl - he said we saw several things that are rare. We saw a cayman, and a large rodent - I can't remember all the names. We were inches from bats. Wear bug spray, but it's not as bad as I expected since the bats and birds keep the mosquitoes at bay. Even if you don't see animals, the river was really nice. He recommends going at twilight (not in the earlier part of the day). It was cool, breezy and pleasant. If you get motion sick, don't worry - I have a real problem with that but had no problem at all on this tour. While they give you a snack at the end (choose the banana bread!) we saw large frogs.

Great family outing - The guide Mau was fantastic. Learned a lot about the geography and the flora and fauna. Saw toucans, howler monkeys, owls, hawks, lizards, caymans and more. Took two kids aged 9 and 11 and they had a blast. Bring bug spray.
